About the adventure

Drador was once a thriving land where magic lit every home, children made their toys glow and float, and a torn shirt was as easy as a flick of the wrist to repair. The ease of communication, along with the advent of an arcane-fueled train network, made settlements beyond oppressive city walls begin to flourish. Then the unthinkable happened. The weave snapped. The intricate spells that held society together collapsed. Those who can still call upon magic find their wells drying up, even the simplest spells exhausting. The gods themselves, once answering every prayer, have gone silent. Adventures, once a steady shield against a hostile world, begin to dwindle. Their wounds, once healed by a night's sleep, now take days to heal if they heal at all. Yet not all is lost. You have a precious gift: you recover when many cannot. Maybe a god is looking out for you, or it’s your unbreakable spirit. Perhaps you are just a rare sort of lucky. What you choose to do with this gift is up to you. Will you hunt for treasure in the ruins left behind? Protect the settlements desperately clinging to hope? Maybe, just maybe, you'll go questing to find magic itself and fix what has been broken.

Character creation

Creating your character

Have a rough idea of the soft stuff. We will have a session 0 and do most character creation then. Feel free to message me here or on Discord if you have any questions

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I play over Discord voice chat. I ask for a stable internet connection and dedicated time. Don't be doing other things while playing. Same as if you were to go to someone's house to play. All that said, I don't require any fancy hardware, a phone mic will work, and no camera will be necessary

What ScienceWhizz brings to the table

This game is entirely player-driven. I will ask for goals from you. Those goals go directly into shaping how the game plays out. I run a Rule of Cool table and try to figure out what you want to accomplish before making a ruling on what happens. There will be a cast of NPCs with different voices. There will also be a handful of custom magic items

Safety

How ScienceWhizz creates a safe table

I will send a link to a Lines and Veils document. During the session, you are free to private message me if we are approaching a topic that makes you uncomfortable. The player-driven nature of my game allows me to check in as I plan. This makes it super easy to avoid any uncomfortable topics if we don't want to get into them.
