About the adventure
In the great city of Dal Haran, City of Queens, the royal line has persisted for 1000 years. But unrest is brewing. Rebels have released something ancient and dark beneath the palace, intent on overthrowing the queen. Your party's actions will determine the course of the next century. Whether you succeed or fail, after several sessions (3-4) we will jump 100 years into the future of the city. You will get to say how your character's actions affected the course of history! Did you start a powerful guild, rise in the ranks of the court, or become a folk legend? Then, based on the new state of the city, I will create a new mini-arc centered around new or returning player characters. This game is ideal for those who enjoy worldbuilding and those with many character ideas. If you want to play the same character the whole time, talk with me and we will figure something out (or just play an elf).

About me
I've been playing D&D for 10 years, and DMing for 7! I've been a professional DM for middle-schoolers and their families, and run games for me and my friends outside of StartPlaying. I think roleplaying games are a great way to learn about yourself, build a community, increase social skills, and have fun! All are welcome at my table! I have experience running D&D Fifth Edition, and have played Monster of the Week and Avanced D&D as well. My favorite part of the game is worldbuilding, followed by roleplaying.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during session 0. Stats are determined by rolling 4d6 and dropping the lowest number rolled for all stats. Ones on the dice for stats are re-rolled. Starting level is level 1. All source material is allowed. Homebrew or 3rd party material allowed with approval from DM.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please join the Discord when you join the campaign. Have a microphone and speakers ready. Webcam optional.
What Llewyn brings to the table
I bring rapid responses to player questions, silly voices, and dynamic combats. In this campaign players will also get to help set up their own organizations, cities, maybe even pantheons which will affect the game world. This game will give a lot of freedom to the players, your creativity and the dice will be the only limit.
Homebrew rules
I use the flanking optional rule, and let players make ability checks they are proficient in as free actions.

How Llewyn creates a safe table
A Lines and Veils form is filled out anonymously by myself and all players before the session 0. Lines are things that won't happen in or around the game, veils are things that might happen for big story moments. The results are compiled into a table agreement, and discussed during session 0 until unanimous agreement is reached. Lines and veils can be added at any time by speaking with the DM. After every session we will go over stars and wishes. Stars are something you liked that someone else did, and wishes are something you would like to see at the next session.
