About the adventure
This is a solar-punk inspired setting. Here in the Republic Of Mederrick technology, humanoids, and nature have achieved co-existence. Not all agree with this new way of life and thus the nation has expanded its efforts to protect its forest and ensure a sustainable future. About me
My experience with tabletops started at high school lunch tables playing D&D before I could even understand what the game was, but the idea sucked me in. I played in many groups throughout the years and found that a lot of my friends wanted to play as well but were too scared to GM so I wanted to offer that to them. I started GM'ing in 2018 and have been working my skills up ever since. I find tabletop games to be a beautifully collaborative way to play, which is why not only am I inspired by famous GMs and content creators but also the people I have played with at my tables.

Creating your character
Characters will be created using the D&D 5e 2024 rules, though you will no be limited by the species and subclass options. That is to say, if you want to play a species that has not been updated you are able to play that if you so wish. If your species has been updated you must use the new rules. Same goes for sub-classes. If you are considering using third party content for your character species or subclass, let me know and I'll take it into consideration. We can work out character ideas during session 0 or if you have any ideas you would like to run beforehand feel free. I will also be sharing a short document about the base world you're in if that potentially helps. If you are joining in the middle of the campaign I can reach out to you via Discord to ensure you are able to join seamlessly. I ask that all player characters have some form of backstory and I highly recommend for you to include some notable connections, perhaps a friend or foe. More importantly, you should give them a personal goal, sometimes referred to as a character quest. This will help me understand what may have lead them here. During the latter half of Session 0 we will also take time to explore interpersonal dynamics in character and help you get a sense of the world.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a discord account as well as potentially an Owlbear rodeo account. The link to the the Owlbear Rodeo server will be shared in the discord under the resources tab.
What Juniel brings to the table
I utilize a variety of tools, including dynamic battle maps and thematic music for each scene. My priority with the rules is to ensure that everyone is able to have fun while keeping the structure of the world consistent. So sometimes that may lean more RoC whereas other times it may lean more RaW.
Homebrew rules
We will be incorporating the following home-brew rules: Perkins Crit

How Juniel creates a safe table
The comfort of the table as a whole is incredibly important to me which is why we will go over any pressure points and tone during our Session 0 as a group.
