About the adventure

Five years into an armistice that ended a decade of warfare, the threat of renewed conflict looms over the continent of Althas. Five nations in a delicate web of alliances and rivalries seek to exploit the opportunities granted by this period of rapid magical, political, and social change. All five nations deploy agents to strengthen alliances, sabotage foes, and tip the balance of power in their favor. In a Five Banners Burning campaign, you’ll play heroes caught up in the twisting and ever-escalating conflict between nations, contending with competing loyalties, generational grudges, and opportunistic villains. The tone is described as Adventurous, Dramatic, Intimate, Political, Serious, Sweeping. This setting draws inspiration from A Song of Ice & Fire, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Babylon 5, Friends at the Table’s PARTIZAN, Born to the Blade, Court of Blades, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Eberron: Rising from the Last War. While the above is the starting point, we will be making it truly our own. Your decisions will shape the world that you adventure through!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created together during session 0 so we can create connections. I will provide a link to join my group on Demiplane so you get access to the core rulebook.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Read the rules for Daggerheart. We will use Discord, Roll 20, and Demiplane. Create accounts for these. Please have a functioning microphone. Webcam optional.

What Graham Day brings to the table

I have strong improv skills and will work with you to involve your character in the narrative. I make sure you feel like a hero in the story and create a collaborative story with you. I have extensive experience of running tabletop games in both long campaigns as well as one shots. I'll bring that experience to your game to make sure you have a great experience. My games are suitable for all ages, which means you can expect a thrilling and fun game for everyone to enjoy. Expect a tone similar to Lord of the Rings, or a Marvel movie. I get fully invested into playing characters. I make sure every character is diverse and can be easily identified from each other. I am a proud advocate for neurodiverse and LGBT+ people. This is a safe space for everyone.

Safety

How Graham Day creates a safe table

If we're doing a campaign, we'll do a session 0 to go over everything and ensure we're all happy with the potential content involved in the game. If a one shot, you can message me beforehand to make me aware of anything important. If anything happens during the session that makes you uncomfortable, speak up or send me a private message and I'll sort it out straight away. We will take a break halfway through the session at a suitable moment. After the session we'll go over your Stars and Wishes to get positive/constructive feedback.
