About the adventure

In a slightly lavender void lies a metropolis; that is all there is. You are a Void Dweller. Whoever you are, you live in a place which, when you zoom out far enough, is in a void. It’s hard to comprehend the distance between what you know is there and what could be. The people of this world, mostly, are enraptured by this. _______________________________________________________________________ The city consists of floating islands of varying sizes, which make up boroughs. Each borough has an associated spire, which is both an administrative office and a third space for the community, as it is surrounded by a plaza. Just as a quick idea for aesthetics, the world is a science fantasy, which is a hybrid between sci-fi and fantasy, though this world specifically leans more towards fantasy. Think spelljammer in dnd. Feel free to lean into both as much as you want when designing a character.

About me

Hiya! I'm Chad (no my parents didn't know it was gonna be a meme) I'm a 21-year-old DM who has 7 years of experience as a player and about 6 as a GM. As many do I found it very intimidating to GM when I started. My playstyle was a little bit toxic, prioritising railroading a plot and losing hope when players would come up with great ideas. Only when I started Gming my third campaign did I realise that your players coming up with chaotic and interesting ideas and making sure they were able to do what they wanted (to a reasonable degree) was what I actually had to prioritise. I started to believe that if they cared about progression and the story I had put in front of them, they would follow it, and if not then it was time to change something to keep them engaged. If you're interested in playing with me, let me know by popping me a message and adding me on discord!

Character creation

Creating your character

I will send over a Google Form/Survey to ask for some of your playstyle preferences. We will then have a session zero to create characters and talk about what type of game you would like to play :)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is a Discord account and a free slot on Dnd Beyond to create your character. (homebrew very welcome)

What Chad brings to the table

I've fallen in love with sci-fi ambient music. If you have any recommendations, do let me know. What would you like to be played during sessions? I enjoy creating voices and mannerisms for my NPCs. I also enjoy describing rich scenes and creating deadly fights. (taken from my profile) I definitely also lean more towards the rule of cool rather than rules as written.

How Chad creates a safe table

There shouldn't be many triggering topics; that being said, I send out a document asking players what they might be uncomfortable with.
