About the adventure
In the lightless, haunted city of Duskvol, daring scoundrels take their lives into their own hands. There are heists, chases, escapes, dangerous bargains, bloody skirmishes, deceptions, betrayals, victories, deaths... and weddings. You've been approached by an anonymous client to do the impossible: to break into Vedat Manor and steal from the Lord Vedat himself. On a normal day, you couldn't dream of this... but this isn't a normal day. Lord Vedat's daughter is getting married -- to the son of his greatest rival, no less -- so the manor will be crawling with guests and servants alike. That isn't to say there won't be security, and with Vedat's known penchant for the occult, it's possible you'll have to contend with more than just guards. You've got the blueprints. You've got the date and time. Now all that's left to do is assemble a crew and get in there. ------------------------- CORDIALLY INVITED is a wedding crashing, cult-infiltrating, haunted victorian adventure. Engage your foes with wit, daring, and even the occult over the course of a one-shot campaign designed to tell a full story for new and old players alike. Blades in the Dark is quick to learn and simple to understand and leans heavily on player agency. If you've seen a heist movie, you know the vibe. With hard cuts and narrative flashbacks, the game plays more like an episode of television than a dungeon crawl.

About me
The first TTRPG I ever played was the Wheel of Time RPG at my 13th birthday party, and I never stopped loving tabletop or Wheel of Time. The first game I ever ran was the Serenity RPG (Cortex System). Since then I've explored a wide variety of genres, systems, and styles, and I can find something good to say about almost all of them... even D&D 5e. During the pandemic I co-hosted an award winning tabletop podcast and started writing my own games, but what I really love are stories. I love writing them, I love telling them... and I can't wait to tell yours.

Creating your character
Blades in the Dark uses simple playbooks that represent distinctive character archetypes. Roughly 15-20 minutes at the start of the session will be devoted to choosing these archetypes and fleshing out characters.

How Dorca creates a safe table
Blades in the Dark is a game about high drama and dark fantasy, but I am committed to providing a safe and welcoming experience all the same. Lines and veils will be handled before the session, and there will be an X-Card system in place to maintain player comfort throughout play.
