About the adventure

Degonia is a world unlike any other, though its inhabitants are blissfully unaware. They won't be for much longer, as the world is hurled towards a new era. A group of novice adventurers, brought together by either chance or fate, find themselves thrust into prominence with the return of the Raven King, a fabled ruler that may not be what the old legends claim him to be. Will the adventurers stand as a shining light against his shadow or embrace the darkness that threatens to consume everything? Your story is waiting to be told in this character-driven and expansive custom setting. Ready yourselves to become famous, or infamous, under the Shadow of the Raven King.

About me

My name is Joshua Algarin and I've been playing, then GMing various table tops, starting with DnD 2e, for almost 25 years now. I've played most of the DnD systems, as well as Pathfinder 1e and generally have run and created home brewed campaign worlds or changes to existing ones. I've also used a number of online tools for games when in person ones became difficult and mostly use Fantasy Grounds now. I've run a number of online tables now, mostly as a GM, anywhere from one shots to much longer form games. I also have run play by post games for people that couldn't make a set schedule work and want to focus more on the roleplay and storytelling aspect of the game.

What Joshua brings to the table

This game will provide players with the opportunity to explore a new world one is different from published worlds, where their actions can have a lasting impact on the world. The adventure will be accompanied by background music, and some adventurers might even get their own theme song. Combat can and will be dangerous and thought-provoking, but the social encounters could prove even more treacherous.

Homebrew rules

Elephant in the Room-Feat Taxes Character creation in Degonia also uses a background system that is outlined in the documents. Each character can choose a background that provides benefits, but also comes with a past, one that can be used to drive roleplay.
