About the adventure
Players take on the role of an ancient dragon spirit, guiding the path of their descendant. The catch? All players mutually control one character! Take turns bidding for direct control over the course of play, but watch out - if you fall asleep or become injured the other players will get a chance to take over! Each player will start the game with a set of Prophecies to fulfil during the course of play. Completing Prophecies earns points and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins! To help them along their way they will also possess draconic powers, such as shape changing, alchemy, or fire breathing. The dragons can expect unpredictable reactions from the population of the countryside. A dragon hasn't been seen in these parts in well over 100 years and some probably don't believe they even exist. Overall the gameplay will focus on unique situations for players to navigate, extreme freedom in character choices, and a lot of humor!

Meet the Game Master
About me
I am a canadian national living in India, and host regular in-person sessions frequently. As a seasoned game master and ttrpg hobbyist of 20+ years, I have a penchant for system design, and a soft spot for roleplaying and rules-light systems. I am currently working on a cinematic pulp-horror RPG system with a small publisher, as well as a personal project loosely based on the coin-flipping oracle of the I-Ching (Divination tool) set in a post apocalypse setting. I have also written and published material on DrivethruRPG, including a system I designed to facilitate player character creation called Pyre. I got my start in AD&D at about age 14, and my first game took place every week over 4 years. The ups and downs, the rivalries, and the incredible adventures we shared left us wanting more, and I very quickly began writing one shots and mini campaigns to play alongside the larger game. Honestly, though, I have been creating games in some form or other since I could talk - I have memories in childhood of drawing elaborate labyrinths and creating platformer 'levels' with fridge magnets for my younger brother to navigate. Whether spaceships or dragons (or both?), I'm a nerd and proud of it!

Creating your character
Character Creation will take place in the beginning of the session, with Prophecies being chosen from a list and kept secret and Draconic Powers made up on the spot. For those unsure of creating Draconic Powers, a list of basic ones will also be provided! Characters start with a choice of: - 2 Draconic Powers - 3 Prophecies - 10 Willpower Characters will then have the choice of exchanging 3 Willpower for an additional Draconic Power. It should be noted that Willpower is what lets players bid for control during the game, and it's a big decision to trade it for another power!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the game players should: - Have Discord (for setup) - Have Google account (for Google Meet) - Look at the rules for Everyone is John (https://share.google/eKeCL1CSFG19Nt7AK) - Check the Safety Tools document -
What Jeremy brings to the table
This is a very free form game and, as such, does not require a lot of material. I will have prepared: - A set of sample Draconic Powers - A set of Prophecies (Minor, Middling, and Major) - A kingdom/environment sandbox for play - Safety Document - Administration & Coordination
Homebrew rules
As this game is an adaptation of the standard "Everyone Is John" rules, there are a number of thematic and flavor changes. That said, mechanically the game will play much the same.

How Jeremy creates a safe table
We will be using a combination of: - Lines & Veils - X-Card - Stars & Wishes Prior to the session I will provide a document detailing the tools and their use. We will have a list of existing lines & veils, considering all age groups present, and players will have the opportunity to introduce their own, as well. Our X-Card will be either verbal or through text during the session (as we are playing via Google Meet / Discord) Stars and Wishes will be discussed in the last 10-15 minutes of the session.
