About the adventure
Stormwreck Isle is a place where ancient dragon rivalries shake the foundations of the island and the lives of those who call it home. Your characters arrive here seeking purpose, answers, or simply adventure, and soon find themselves swept up in the danger and adventure of the island. This campaign is designed for new and inexperienced players. If you’ve ever wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons but weren’t sure where to start, this is your chance. I’ll guide you through the rules as they come up, focusing more on storytelling and creativity than getting every rule exactly right. The rule of cool is in play here if you dream up something exciting, we’ll find a way to make it happen. By the end of the adventure, you’ll not only have survived the dangers of Stormwreck Isle you’ll have a strong foundation in D&D, memories of epic moments, and maybe even a character you’ll want to carry into future campaigns.

About me
Hello Everyone! My name is Iwan and I’ve been running D&D for almost a decade, and have never looked back! I love being in the DM chair far more than I ever did playing, to the point id even go as far as to say I don't really like being a player character! I'm a massive world builder and really focus my energy into crafting the richest world and ensure it feels lived in and alive for you all to explore! When I first played D&D, it sparked a passion in me that has brought me so much joy and allowed me to tell fantastical stories in the best way possible, with friends! My major inspiration to D&D is Brennan Lee Mulligan, for me his ability to keep things happy and humorous while also ensuring that powerful emotive story telling is the perfect balance and what I aim to have in my games. Inclusivity is hugely important to me, and have zero tolerance for sort of bigotry or discrimination. Creating your character
We’ll start with a Session 0, where we’ll build characters together, set expectations, and make sure everyone feels comfortable with the rules and the world. This session will be very relaxed and collaborative, giving you space to ask questions, experiment, and find the character you’re excited to play. In addition, I’ll schedule a short private session with each player. This is where we’ll dig into your character’s backstory, personal goals, and of course most importantly, the secrets they may not want the rest of the party to know… at least not yet. These private moments help me build your character into the adventure and give you special hooks that can emerge at just the right time during play.

In this campaign, I’ll provide a fully immersive experience where your choices matter and your creativity is rewarded. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, and combat! I embrace the Rule of Cool! if you dream up an exciting action or clever plan, we’ll make it happen. Combat is dynamic and engaging, with tactical options and memorable encounters that are fun for everyone, from first-time players to seasoned adventurers. Each session will feature a specially created soundscape, crafted to match the mood, setting, and tension of the adventure. You can expect a friendly, supportive table where questions are welcome, mistakes are part of the fun, and storytelling takes center stage. My goal is for every session to be exciting and memorable.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion can be done as a bonus action for a quick, uncertain effect, you roll for health or the potion’s benefit. If you want the full effect, it takes a regular action, giving you the maximum benefit of the potion. Additionally, your death saving throws will be private between you and me.
