About the adventure
Strange things have been happening in the small coastal town of Laphroaig. Tucked on the sleepy Whidbey island, northbound of Seattle, Washington, it almost seems as if the sea has come to life. Rumours pass by the ports and docks that bizarre creatures have been washing ashore, monsters have been spotted in the dense woods, and the mutterings and sightings of strange men in long robes have been emerging from the darkness. But even as these rumours swell, the sleepy day-to-day life continues, with the average citizen going about their days tending to small businesses, farms on the rural outskirts, tending to fishing and cargo ships, or attending the quaint Laphroaig university. You never expected any of these rumours to be true. You never expected them to come to you, ripping you from your average life and dragging you into a terrifying world of darkness hidden in the shadows of the world you’ve spent your entire life in. Now you’re left with two choices. Abandon life as you know it and let it take you, or fight for everything you know and love, clinging to your humanity the best that you can. Hey there! I'm Dandy and I've been a DM for over eight years now, exploring all sorts of systems. At the moment, I'm specializing in Dungeons and Dragons 5e and World of Darkness. I love making lore-heavy games with intensive and deep world-building, deep roleplays and opportunities for character growth, interaction and development. I am a transmasculine freelance artist and illustrator as well, having many years of experience in both artwork and character design and creation. With both my love of artwork and storytelling, being a dungeon master has become a blessing on my life. How Dandy creates a safe table
We will go over the Session Zero, table rules and expectations at the beginning of the campaign. For those that join later, we will schedule a short one on one to catch you up to speed. I will always do my best so that we will all be on the same page, and remain comfortable and transparent. The goal is to have fun, and I want to make sure that this is a safe space for everyone! This campaign will be very dark and cover various uncomfortable topics. Please if you're interested in attending this campaign, understand that by joining this campaign, you consent in being mature with these topics, and to handle them in character and to also understand that they are being handled delicately as fictional content. Riding off of this, you must understand that the actions and beliefs of characters are not congruent to the beliefs and actions of the players who control them. The nature and theming of World of Darkness can get really spicy! Because of this, NSFW will be present in this game! You will be provided with all of the information and additional primers once you join the campaign.
