About the adventure

Hunt what hunts the East. Bring the dawn back to Cenilha. Step into Vahden a living, breathing custom world forged over years of play where the Eastern continent sprawls with ancient canopies, rain-slick ruins, and proud peoples. In Cenilha’s borderlands, elves, firbolg, leonin, and countless others trade stories of vanishing caravans, gutted waystations, and lights moving in the treeline that think before they strike. Terrors of the East is a campaign about finding the shape of fear and breaking it. You begin in the choking green of a hostile jungle, tasked to locate the source of the horrors that are unraveling towns and stalking roads after dusk. These creatures aren’t mindless. They scout. They set lures. They learn. You’ll track their patterns, shield the helpless, and follow a trail that winds from vine-drowned sanctuaries to wind-scoured highlands where the storms never sleep. Across the journey you’ll map unseen paths, read the jungle’s signs, and decide who to trust when rumors turn to bargains. Parley with frontier wardens, barter knowledge with reclusive clans, and outpace rival hunters chasing the same prize for darker reasons. When the truth begins to surface, you’ll have to choose how far you’re willing to go to stop it and what parts of the East must be scarred to keep the rest alive. This adventure is for players who crave mystery, danger, and twists that land. Expect tense investigations, survival under pressure, and explosive confrontations when c What makes this table different: 🩸Build For Fantasy, Not Math: You start strong with a High Stat Array (17/16/15/12/10/8) and a Level-1 Feat fitting to your characters backstory, so you can build for character fantasy, not just +2s. 🩸Heroic Inspiration (Sparing but Powerful): Earned for epic RP/spotlighting you or others. Replace a d20 with a heroic and critical success when success is possible (Here is where the rule of cool absolutely applies). Saved for big, Epic moments. This also can be used as a crit on an attack, imagine your party unconcious and the foe on deaths door. one final epic strike can end him. do you bolster your heroism? or let it slide? 🩸Legacy Item: Every character carries a Legacy Item, a character backstory-bound heirloom or gift that levels with you as your character makes decisions and evolves based on your choices and roleplay. 🩸I run Hidden Death Saves for drama and use Ritual Resurrection beyond Revivify so victories (and losses) matter. 🩸Custom monster and Boss creation: even in modules I adapt creatures and bosses to feel truly epic and match the power of the party. Leading you to study your foe and be tactical in combat. Optional, consent-based, rules: Cinematic Crit Riders and Magic Saturation on counterspell clashes and high magic areas for big epic cinematic moments. you can expect in depth and voiced NPCs, readable maps with dynamic lighting, and goal-driven sessions that end with you wanting more and waiting for the next session.

About me

Hello all! I’m Cade. I fell in love with this wonderful game years ago and never looked back. I love character interaction, story, and the high intensity that players bring with their shenanigans. I’m very much an immersion-first DM, focusing on big hero moments and collaborative storytelling. I have 8 years of DM experience, and I’m currently running a Home campaign that’s been going for almost two years. I run D&D 5e and have adopted 2024 character and monster options into the 5e ruleset. Most of my experience is on Roll20, but i have set up Foundry for my campaigns. To date I’ve completed 5 full campaigns (levels 1–20, ~65 sessions each), run 30+ one-shots (some stretching to 2–3 sessions), and about 8 fast-paced “epic” campaigns (levels 1–20, ~40 sessions each). I enjoy long campaigns, but I also love short, high-tempo arcs, so I run a mix depending on what my players want. Quick context on activity: for the last two years I GMed part-time here alongside a full-time job. I’ve shifted my focus to DMing and am opening more seats to build long-term tables, because this is where I want to be. I run games because this is where I come alive. I stitch histories and people into the map so every step feels real, then invite you to change it. Improv keeps the world breathing; world-creation gives it bones. Together we chase danger, laughter, shock, and triumph. Because of this, the best sessions are when you surprise me as much as I surprise you.

Safety

How Cade Lambson creates a safe table

Safety by default. Session 0, Consent Checklist, Lines/Veils, X/N/O cards, and short breaks. (Some content in this campaign may be uncomfortable for some players, but are highly negotiable. The most important thing for me at my table is that the players have fun and get to cooperatively build a story together that they will remember fondly. Still I feel its good to list some content aspects upfront so a session 0 will when we discuss lines and veils etc.) I typically voice NPC's and love to roleplay, no matter what I will be doing my best at that because its what I enjoy. I prefer if you do too, However it is not mandatory. During session 0 we will go over all of this and things my Npcs should stay clear of. sometimes things happen. if something is done by me or a player. we will talk about it to make sure it doesnt happen again . we are all adults and communication is important My expectations for players is to treat everyone including myself with the same respect they are given and to maintain general decorum and immersion at the virtual "table". Communication is the key to success, but it is also a necessity it group play to make sure that everyone has fun. I ask for full transparency in session zero of any lines or veils, possible triggers etc. At the end of the day I care more about you having fun than about me trying to make my homebrew setting gritty/ realistic/ dark etc.
