About the adventure
Scourge of the Tyrant King is a dark fantasy adventure heavily inspired by games like Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. Enter into the cursed kingdom of Ashendire, battle the forsaken forces of Aldric, the Golden Lion, and investigate the source of the corruption that threatens to destroy the kingdom forever. This game will have a little bit of everything; combat, roleplay, and a narrative focused on difficult decisions, sinister locations, and blood-thirsty opponents. About me
Welcome, adventurers! My name is Tav (short for Tavish, so no relation to any BG3 default characters) I am a Professional Dungeon Master based out of Los Angeles, with a love for fantasy, frogs, and wizard hats. Creating your character
Once all players have been confirmed, we will have a free session 0 to go over the setting and character creation. We will be using 5e2024 rules with 27 point buy, starting at level 3. Characters will be created together to establish overlapping backstories and motivations. Setting specific character options (Spelljammer, Eberron, etc.) are not recommended, but exceptions could be made depending on the character concept.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a Roll20 and Discord account prepared. A good internet connection and microphone set up in a quiet room is ideal, when available. We want to avoid as many auditory distractions as possible. Coming in with knowledge of 5e2024 is great! But not necessary - we will work together to learn and get everyone on the same page.
What Tav brings to the table
Roll20 with custom maps and tokens. Full compendiums for character creation. Additional supplemental material, mechanics, and character choices. Music, sound effects, and ambience through Discord and various soundboards. Dramatic voices via VoiceMod modulator. I know the rules and use them as guidelines, so it's that much cooler when we do break them :)

How Tav creates a safe table
If you're interested in joining, then we'll set up a Session 0 to go over all expectations on both sides of the table. Any and all questions will be answered, and suggestions can be made so we can figure out if this table like a good fit for you! I run all my tables with an expectation of mutual respect - focusing on the most important aspect of any TTRPG: fun!
