About me

Welcome, adventurers! Take a seat by the hearth, settle in, and prepare for a journey of wonder and delight! At this table, your stories come first and anything you dream of is possible. I primarily run D&D 5e games with a preference towards theater of the mind and focus on ensuring every player gets their chance in the spotlight. The adventure is just the vehicle, YOU are the star of the show!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will begin at level 5 with basic starting equipment and use the standard point buy system to determine stats. If you'd like to create your character ahead of time, great! Otherwise we'll go over character creation during Session 0. All official D&D 5e source books are welcome, including both 2014 and 2024 rulesets. Homebrew is allowed on a case-by-case basis, so please reach out to me if you'd like to employ some so we can make sure everything works the way you want it to.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need: 🎤 A microphone and Discord account 🎲 A Roll20 account 📸 A Webcam (optional) 🗡️ The adventuring spirit!

What Adam brings to the table

📖 Story-Driven Adventures Your decisions shape the world, creating an adventure that’s truly your own. Even within modules, no two campaigns of mine are alike - each story is defined by its heroes. 🎭 Dynamic Roleplay I strive to make every NPC unique, with distinct voices and personalities. Each adventure is filled with meaningful interactions fueling interesting stories. ⚔️ Thrilling Combat Expect epic, engaging battles with unique enemies where adapting to ever-shifting tactics is key. I balance rules and creativity to make each fight fun and memorable. 🤝 Player-Focused Philosophy I may play the monsters, but ultimately I'm on your side. Your character's story is my priority, and together we’ll create an unforgettable adventure.

Homebrew rules

By default, expect rules as written. That said, send me any homebrew rules, classes, or species you'd like to see or use and I'll do my best to make it work!

Safety

How Adam creates a safe table

- Session 0: This is where we’ll talk about expectations, boundaries, and anything that could potentially make the game uncomfortable. We'll also cover character creation here and any other details that might need clarifying. - Monte Cook RPG Checklist: I’ll send a link to the checklist before the game starts. - Open Door Policy: If at any point during the game you’re feeling uncomfortable, you can speak up (either out loud, or via dm to me directly) — whether it’s in the middle of a session or after.
