About the adventure

🦇 Strahd von Zarovich has been the master of Castle Ravenloft for centuries now. Although he feeds on the hapless souls in his domain of Barovia, they provide little nourishment and no comfort. From time to time, strangers from faraway lands are brought to his domain, to play the vampire’s game of cat-and-mouse. Strahd savors these moments, for though these strangers offer him no lands to conquer, they aren’t so easily destroyed and therefore provide a welcome diversion. 🩸 Strahd believes that the key to his escaping Barovia lies in finding someone worthy to rule in his stead, but his arrogance is so indomitable that none yet have proved themselves worthy to supplant him as the dread lord of this dark domain. 👻Vampires, curses, lost love, dark secrets...Barovia has it all. You, a stranger from beyond the Mists, will be thrust into the center of a tragedy that has played out for centuries, as the vampire lord of Barovia hunts for his lost love, Tatyana--and draws your party ever closer to fulfill a dark purpose only he truly understands. ⚔️Play through the ultimate gothic horror dark fantasy campaign with Curse of Strahd, D&D's most well known official module. Go from the village of Barovia to your final face-off with Strahd in the heart of Castle Ravenloft. Along the way, your decisions shape the adventure and its ultimate outcome: stand and fight for your soul and all of Barovia, or strike a deal with the Dark Powers to replace Strahd on the throne. A Level 3 to Level 10 campaign, perfect for players looking to challenge themselves in one of D&D's toughest, most horrifying settings! 🎮A weekly campaign played on Foundry VTT and Discord, with pregen characters available for beginner players. Or, I'll walk you through creating your first original PC. 🎮FREE Session 0 for the party to meet, learn the basics and decide how they've all come through the mists to the dark domain of Barovia

About me

Hi there, I'm Caitlin! I've been playing D&D for over half my life and DMing for my friends and family. I first DM'ed for my stepbrother and his friends in high school, got the TTRPG bug and have been happily playing ever since. I love Dungeons & Dragons, but in my time playing my horizons have expanded and I also would be thrilled to share a game of Star Wars 5e, Warhammer 40k or Daggerheart with you! Bringing new players into the game and exposing them to the joy and wonder of TTRPGs is one of my favorite aspects of being a DM, but I also love grabbing a table of experienced chaos goblins and seeing where they take our adventure! Everyone is welcome at my table, except those who would make others feel unwelcome. I'm a firm believer that TTRPGs are a huge benefit to our mental health and our overall wellbeing, and I view my games as a bubble of escapism and safety from whatever else might be going on in your real life. That is to say, you'll be safe. I make no guarantees about your characters! 💀

Safety

How Caitlin creates a safe table

Every player needs to fill out a consent form before Session 0--this is non negotiable. The forms will be kept anonymous. ***This is ESPECIALLY important in a campaign of this nature, due to the type of subject matter that could arise during gameplay.*** Every player needs to read and acknowledged the Lines and Veils list in our Discord server. Respect is the word of the day--respect each other, don't fuss and whine about using preferred names/pronouns, don't be an edgy mc edgelord and say stuff just to get a reaction. That's cringe and nobody likes it. No racism/homophobia/transphobia/sexism (toward any gender.) No openly expressed fascist sentiments. Violating any of the above guidelines is an automatic kick from my table--no three strikes, no second chances. Life is too short to play D&D with bigots. That being said, I pride myself on my tables being friendly, chill, and not all that serious. The subject matter may be dark, but the game itself will never leave you feeling worse than when the session started. My table is a welcoming space for all, and I mean all, players who want to engage with the game and follow this simple code of conduct. We're all here for an escape from the real world, so play nice.
