Creating your character
Players will be creating a level 3 character as part of the custom campaign that is shared on DnDBeyond. You are welcome to use any first party Wizards Of The Coasts 5th edition books when constructing your characters. However, please do not mix and match 5th edition rules with changes from the 2024 books, as this can create an imbalanced and unfair situation for players.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to be able to join Discord voice, so a microphone will be necessary. No prior experience is needed with the systema as I am happy to teach it as we go along. You will need a DnDBeyond (at least Free) account to share your character.
What Cavin Eggleston brings to the table
The DM will provide a custom campaign on DnDBeyond for building chracters, a discord channel, and the use of VTT maps for combat encounters. Art and sound for ambiance will also be utilized and players are invited to make their characters their own. I am a big believer in the idea that flavor is free and that fun is the #1 priority for playing the game. I utilize a greater focus on Rule of Cool style storytelling and invite and encourage roleplaying and feeling comfortable improv'ing in the moment around story beats and player intereactions.
