About the adventure
Begin your life in the post-Great War era! After 100 years of conflict, the continent of Khorvaire is doing its best to restabilize. The Domestic powers of each country vie for power against the international Corporations run by the Dragonmarked houses. Which country are you in? What is your "mission? Do you work for anyone, or do you represent yourself? Any class can fit any lifestyle! Backstories can be made independently, but will be tied together using round-robin style character questions and prompts.

About me
My name is Jack and I host what are called Therapeutic Tabletop Roleplaying Games! I am a Person-Centered, Gender-Affirming, and Trauma-Informed Games Master with CRPA and YPA human services experience, as well as over 10 years D&D and tabletop experience. There is no mechanic difference between TTRPGs and Therapeutic TTRPGs! The only difference is that if you are scared of spiders, we don't deal with spiders. You get to know that any and all content that will be on the table will be tailored to content that you want to see! I also help deal with conflict de-escalation, boundary enforcement, and obstacles in communication between party members. As a Games Master I love to incorporate puzzles, combat, and intrigue - but will balance these in whatever way you and your compatriots in arms find most enjoyable. Creating your character
Character creation can be done independently. Standard Array and Point-Buy characters are allowed, unless being rolled with Games Master supervision in the Mastering Mental Mayhem Discord. If building a character, please use the DnD5e Wikidot for all official materials (no Unearthed Arcana). https://dnd5e.wikidot.com/ DnDBeyond is viable, but will not have all published materials unless purchased.
Players can be journalists, spies, soldiers, whatever they choose to be! All classes can be fit to any storyline (who's to say the fighter doesn't run a café in between adventures?)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord accounts will be required for anyone playing in a separate location (3 players playing together locally only need 1 account). Microphones are highly recommended. Please build a level 4 character, 2014 rules preferred. Minor adjustments may be made to 2024 characters.

Drink a potion as an action grants full health, or bonus action to roll. A natural 1 provokes an Opportunity Attack from the target.

Content warnings above indicate what is possible in a game, not that each will occur in every session. G-Rated games for family-friendly settings are available by request, but are by no means the "default" game setting. Session 0 should take place in the first hour. Character creation should be done independently. If assistance for character creation is required, this may change how much time is available to "play" in the first session.
