About the adventure

You will get to experience playing through a compact story at different levels of play. Claws of the Tyrant takes place over three separate adventures at level 1, level 7, and level 18. Gravelands Survivors (Level 1): You emerge from a crypt in which you have taken shelter during the destruction of the small town you lived in nearly six years prior. Save your fellow survivors by reaching a new safe haven for yourselves. Ashes for Ozem (Level 7): You will take on the role of a dark agent of a cult. You have been given a job by a graveknight to infiltrate a fort and steal a holy artifact. You get to play as characters whose motivations are evil, or at least morally ambiguous. Of Blood and Faith (Level 18): In this final adventure you now get to work to interrupt the graveknight's ritual and put an end to his machinations forever. After an uptick in undead activity throughout the lands, an organization of knights call upon you to investigate. Should the graveknight succeed with his ritual he will rewrite the history of two goddesses.

About me

I have been running and playing tabletop games since 2018. I have almost always been GMing games. I got my start with D&D but now I primarily focus on Pathfinder 2e and expanding into Starfinder 2e. I enjoy running my pathfinder games within the world of Golarion.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a session zero to create characters for each section of the adventure together. Come to session zero with a few ideas for each section of the adventure. Players should have character ideas for the level 1 adventure. evil characters for the level 7 adventure. And finally character ideas for the level 18 adventure. There will not be any variant rules active for this game aside from Hero Point re-rolls keeping the highest roll.

The current party

Parties should have at least one character who can provide either magical or non-magical healing, in and out of combat. It greatly helps to have a frontline combatant who can provide some sort of damage reduction for themselves and the team. Battlefield manipulators greatly improve combat effectiveness. You can make up the party however you wish, but keep in mind that your effectiveness in combat requires all of you to work together to succeed.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Create an account on the Forge if you don't already have an account created. Review the classes you are interested in by using websites like Demiplane or Archives of Nethys.

What Zoe brings to the table

I run the game rules as written but I am willing to hear out fun ideas. We will be using Foundry to play the game and it will have a few mods to help new players learn the system. There will be tactical combat and a good amount of roleplay. I have hundreds of images to use for character art that is all official paizo art. I am using the official Foundry module for Claws of the Tyrant which has official art and a soundtrack of ambient music to listen to as we play. There will be plenty of character voices for the NPCs.

How Zoe creates a safe table

I have an X-card module active, which you can use with the push of a button. After sessions we can, at players' request, reflect on the game and talk about what you had fun with and what you didn't think was fun.
