Creating your character

We’ll create characters before the campaign begins, during Session 0. This session will include both group and individual discussions to help you connect your character’s story to the world and to one another. I’ll provide background on the setting as well as guidance on how your character might fit into the world of Exandria. We’ll be using the 2024 D&D 5e rules for character creation. You can choose any ancestry, background, and class from official Wizards of the Coast materials. Stats will use standard array or point buy to keep the party balanced. Characters will begin at Level 3, giving you access to your subclass and helping the story start with a bit of heroic depth right away. I’ll help you tie your backstory into the setting so that your character feels meaningfully connected to the events of the world. My goal is to make character creation fun, collaborative, and stress-free. Whether you’re a new player building your first hero or a veteran with a detailed concept, I’ll help you craft a character who feels alive, relevant, and ready to dive into the depths of Exandria.

Preparing for the session

Before our first session, I’ll help you get everything set up so you can jump right into the adventure. Here’s what you’ll need to do: Join the Discord server – All game communication, scheduling, and announcements will happen there. You’ll receive the invite link once you sign up. Discord will also be where we handle out-of-session RP, questions, and general chat. Set up your character sheet – We’ll use D&D Beyond for character sheets and gameplay. I’ll provide clear instructions and can walk you through setup. I also have a GM account which I can share my content with you. Create your character concept – Think about your class, background, and what motivates your character. Don’t worry about the details yet — we’ll refine everything together during Session 0. Review session info – I’ll share a brief Player Guide with setting context, safety tools, and house rules before we start. This ensures everyone feels comfortable and informed. Check your tech – Make sure your microphone and internet connection are reliable if we’re playing live sessions. No camera is required unless you’d like to use one.

As your Dungeon Master, I strive to create an immersive and emotionally engaging experience where every player feels valued and inspired to help shape the story. My sessions balance deep narrative moments, cinematic combat, and meaningful roleplay, ensuring that each character has opportunities to shine. I run games with a strong focus on storytelling and atmosphere. You can expect a living world filled with moral choices, complex NPCs, and consequences that evolve from your actions. I use ambient music, sound effects, and vivid descriptions to bring Exandria to life. I enjoy giving each NPC a distinct voice and personality, adding humor, emotion, and realism to your interactions, so that every encounter feels like a scene from a living story rather than a script.

How xDaisuki creates a safe table

Safety is of outmost importance, as a DM it's really important to me that everyone feels safe to express themselves, have fun and that no lines are crossed. We will have consent forms where players can express what they are fine with experiencing and what they do not want to exerience. As DM this will be my task to ensure that everyone is aware of these lines and that everyone respects them. Session 0 will also establish houserules to ensure that everyone is respectful, considerate and kind. Players can contact me at any time publically or privatelly to discuss any issues they might be facing.
