About the adventure
The world, a century from now, has almost conquered death. In the arctic snowlands—where tall buildings rise from the ice and body-mod laboratories hum against the endless winter—humanity has built everything needed to never age a day. Organs are grown to order, bones remade stronger, faces smoothed by precision gene therapy. For those who can afford it, life no longer has to end. Most couldn’t, of course. Until society found a way. Twenty years ago, researchers discovered how to extract dreams—and experiments on them proved surprisingly useful. Everyone has several, and selling one or two hardly seems to matter. It became normal—almost expected—to trade them for a better body, or a longer life. Corporations pay well, and with that wealth families are saved, illnesses cured, futures extended. It is, and always has been, a hopeful bargain. People sometimes grow restless and vanish, moving to distant towns after one too many body mods. A longer life breeds impatience, no doubt. Everyone thought humanity was heading toward a brighter future. Then, ten days ago, the Sun and stars disappeared. The winter fog thickened, swallowing distance and sound. Five days ago, something began moving in the gray, stalking the white silence. Nobody knows what it is, and nothing answers when the wind moans through the empty streets. Now you are gathered in one of these clinics—a mid-range facility carved into the ice, still warm enough to hold a handful of survivors. No doubt the only one around. Some of you work here. Some came for treatment. Some stumbled inside when there was nowhere else to run. The walls hum with generators, the sterile lights flicker against the snow. Outside, the cold presses in, the fog waits, and you don’t know where to run.

About me
💀 (DARK FANTASY/HORROR GM) 💀 Discord server for my Startplaying games: https://discord.gg/53qzyrRbfq Hi! My name is Adrienn. I'm a GM of horror and dark fantasy RPGs. I’ve been running two intertwined Vampire: The Masquerade campaigns for over a year now, and I’m always writing new one-shots as well (nightmares never run out around here, haha). I love exploring topics that are dark, unusual, and often inspired by mythology and/or dreams. My inspiration to start GMing came from a deep-rooted desire to bring new worlds and stories to life. I started writing as a child, and eventually discovered that I could drag others into daydreaming with me. 🍭 A few pieces of info about me: - I'm from Hungary and currently live in Budapest - I have an MA in translation and interpreting (English-German) - I am bilingual (Hungarian-Russian) - I am currently developing my own TTRPG for language learning - I play the piano and love reading comics - I write poems as well 🍭 What I offer: - Creative horror settings and emotional dread - Your actions will matter - One shots or short campaigns - A lot of homebrew - For longer campaigns, especially Vampire, I offer a Milanote interface to keep track of progress and map out relationships - I am more focused on social aspects than combat (which doesn't mean the combat is missing though) - Character death can occur if the story or player decisions prompt it Thanks for reading! 🖤 I hope you will give playing with me a go!))

Creating your character
In this game your characters are normal human beings. You don't have superpowers, you barely even have anything needed to survive. Part of the character creation happens as a group, so please don't come with a fully written character (especially regarding personality traits). You can think of you name, age and origin in advance, those won't change. We will go through the rest at the beginning of the session.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Discord and a virtual tabletop made especially for Ten Candles. See: https://tencandles-vtt.vercel.app/ We will share info on a Milanote board so you can either register on Milanote or just sign in with Google - that means having a Google account will be required.))

How Adrienn creates a safe table
We have a discussion about boundaries at the beginning, and during the game we have an open door policy. There's a discussion after the session as well, so that we can go through any questions/topics that come up during gameplay.
