About the adventure
The land of Geoff lies in ruin. Hill, frost, and fire giants march unchallenged across the countryside, enslaving towns and burning villages to ash. The people cry out for salvation. From the caverns below, the vile drow weave their schemes, while in the high clouds and the storm-tossed seas, the great fortresses of Lyn Armaal and the Maelstrom thunder with plots of conquest. This is your chance to take back a kingdom. Step into a campaign drawn from the legendary 25th Anniversary Edition of Against the Giants, expanded with the towering challenges of Storm King’s Thunder. You’ll storm strongholds, crawl through sprawling dungeons, and unravel the dark alliance between drow priestesses and storm giant lords. Every corridor holds danger, every chamber hides a test of will and steel. What to Expect: Heavy Dungeon Crawling: True to the old-school roots, this is a crawl through vast, hostile lairs. About me
Welcome! I've been running games for over 40 years, and I've published material in the game industry before. If you decide to play with me, you'll discover a fun-forward game without having to drop the fun in favor of encumbrance. I tend to lean towards rules-as-written, but that's so we all start with the same rules. I will provide you with an experience that puts your character up front, with tie-ins to backstories and developing moments in the story that involve you directly. Creating your character
Characters will be created on D&D Beyond - I have all the resources available. You can make an 11th level character using Core or Expanded options (no homebrew or partnered content please). We will decide magic items at session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a D&D Beyond, a Roll20, and a Discord account to play. Have a headset with a microphone available, and a laptop or desktop computer.
