About the adventure
A 2024 5e adventure for levels 5-12 Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a high-fantasy adventure that begins in the beloved town of Phandalin as it faces unimaginable danger. Whether the heroes are newcomers to Phandalin or are returning after the acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons adventure Lost Mine of Phandelver, they discover hints of a threat lurking below the town. The heroes soon learn that the cult of a malevolent entity has set its sights on transforming Phandalin into the capital of its evil empire. To save the town from oblivion, the heroes must uncover a nefarious plot and confront the otherworldly cultists directly. We will be using the 2024 5e rules. Knowledge and play of Lost Mines of Phandelver is helpful, but not necessary.

About me
I've been a DM for 30+ years (Holmes-5e). I've written adventures for Living Greyhawk during the RPGA era. I tend to run a balance between RP and combat. Creating your character
Character creation can be done via Roll20, or on Beyond and imported through the Beyond20 plugin. Anything from the 2024 PHB is acceptable, as well as supporting official 2014 sources. The Compendium of available 2024 and 2014 books will be linked to the VTT. Stats to be determined by point buy and starting array, and characters will start at 5th level.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Computer or Laptop with Roll20 and Discord is required as well as a microphone. Characters can be made ahead of time and imported or can be made during the session zero.
What Eddie D. brings to the table
I will provide a VTT table on Roll20 as well as a Discord channel for voice. My 2024 and 2014 books will be made available to the group via the Compendium. Access to Roll20 and Discord is required. I tend to run the game at the pace the players want to play at. Rule of Cool is used when appropriate. As this is not Organized Play, we will use some homebrew rules as long as the party agrees. There will be ambient music playing at times during the game.
