Then this is the perfect game for you! We’ll be playing Tales from the Loop, an award-winning tabletop roleplaying game inspired by the amazing artwork of Simon Stålenhag. It’s often described as “E.T. meets Stranger Things meets The Goonies”, and it’s designed to be easy to learn—even if you’ve never played a roleplaying game before. This session will feature the starter mystery “The Recycled Boy”, a short adventure built specifically to introduce players to the system and tone of Tales from the Loop. It mixes mystery, friendship, and a touch of the uncanny, while showing you how the rules work in action. The Mystery: The Recycled Boy A classmate has gone missing. His parents say he’s fine, but the kids at school whisper about strange lights in the woods, machines that spark to life without warning, and radios picking up voices no one can explain. The adults ignore it, but you know better. Something is happening, and it all seems connected to the missing boy. If you don’t act, who will? Why This Game?
