About the adventure

For centuries, rumors of buried riches have attracted treasure seekers and opportunists to the area around Phandalin, but no one has ever succeeded in locating the lost mine. In recent years, people have resettled the area. Phandalin is now a rough-and-tumble frontier town. More important, the Rockseeker brothers—a trio of dwarves—have discovered the entrance to Wave Echo Cave, and they intend to reopen the mines. Unfortunately for the Rockseekers, they are not the only ones interested in Wave Echo Cave. A mysterious villain known as the Black Spider controls a network of bandit gangs and goblin tribes in the area, and his agents have followed the Rockseekers to their prize. Now the Black Spider wants Wave Echo Cave for himself, and he is taking steps to make sure no one else knows where it is. =============================================== LMoP is a relatively short campaign and is actually one of the first books I ever ran in my tenure as a DM, and I'd love to bring the experience of this book to others again! This is set in the Forgotten Realms and all that entails. You are travelling with your Dwarf friend Gundren Rockseeker and his Human bodyguard Sildar Hallwinter, trying to get to Phandalin safe and sound! But knowing how adventures go, that peace is bound to be broken, sooner rather than later. Come have a fun little romp in the town of Phandalin! First Session will be free.

About me

Hi! I am Hunter, also known as Pepsiman, Pepsiman-Pala, Pala, and many other monikers! I have 4 years of experience when it comes to DMing and playing, so ( I hope) I know how to see things from both ends. I've researched systems such as Godbound, Pathfinder 2e, 5e and 5e2024 and have experience in Homebrew creation and usage.

Character creation

Creating your character

Well, create and roughly plan a character to make it to level 5 You'll be starting at level 1, and you may use any books from the Forgotten Realms Setting 5e, excluding anything from the 2024 rules, classes, etc. Character creation and tokens will be handled on session 0, and I will help you as needed! We will be using 2014 rulings. Stats can either be Point Buy or Standard Array, your choice! Have an idea as to why you are friends with Gundren Rockseeker

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please have a Mic, Discord, and at least a Roll 20 account DNDBeyond would be helpful to have, but not required. We can talk about character creation and ideas during session 0.

What PEPSIMAN brings to the table

I will generally default to the rules provided I know them, but I am flexible when it comes to the rules and am happy to reward creative and fun ideas even if they don't technically meet the rules. I am roleplay-focused and will be putting on voices for the characters alongside that provide music to set the scene and mood!

Safety

How PEPSIMAN creates a safe table

This is a pretty cut and dry book, so I don't foresee anything particularly egregious to appear, but I will host a session 0 to discuss what we a comfortable and uncomfortable seeing and to what degree. Should anything discussed be in the book, I will warn you ahead of time if it shows up, minimize the details on it, or cut and replace entirely if you are that uncomfortable. I want you to enjoy the game!
