About the adventure

Set in Dimension20's world of Calorum, where different kinds of food are people and ancient rivalries, politics, and family drama shapes the borders of the land, you play an entire century away from the events of "A Crown of Candy." This campaign's themes have been heavily inspired by the stories and world-building of "Dragon Age", and "A Song of Ice and Fire". "After decades of different wars, the empire of Calorum finally had fragile peace. But that peace is fast fading, as the word of a blight, a plague, begins to spread; a new Mildew infestation upon them, the realm must band together at a time where they have never been so divided, if they wish to survive what is coming..."

About me

Hello! Nice meeting you! I am a writer, translator, a storyteller and a budding content creator. I have been into tabletop games for three years and have been running games professionally for about the same time. I'm pretty experienced when it comes to World of Darkness games, especially Vampire: The Masquerade, Hunter: The Reckoning and Werewolf: The Apocalypse, having run multiple games in these splats. In terms of D&D, it has been always a passion that I followed through one-shots and friend games, but I decided it was finally time to delve into the community and start running longer games. I'm well-versed in the system, and I dabbled in different settings within the multiverse. As a GM I'm generally a rule of cool guy who does his best to stick by the book for the most part, but I'll never stifle your fun - especially if you are about to do something absolutely rad. I'm your characters' #1 fan when you are at the table. If you have any questions before signing up to any one of my games, I'm always active on the website and would be more than happy to answer them! I hope you can find a game that you can enjoy on my profile. Looking forward to meeting you!

Character creation

Creating your character

We will go over character creation during Session 0 together so we don't end up making an all Bard campaign without talking to each other first. Roll20 is where we will be storing our character arts, sheets, maps, and tokens. You are not expected to create your character sheets beforehand, but I expect you to give me a concept idea in your applications as to what kind of a character you are forming in your head, and once we establish everything, you will need to write me a brief but detailed backstory about the characters so I know them a little better and can micro adjust the campaign to include what you wrote for your characters. Once I have a backstory, we can work on the sheet together!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

🎤 A decent microphone is a must. 📷 Cameras are optional, but highly encouraged, as I believe seeing each other enhances our roleplay. 🔊A Discord account (free to register). 🎲 Roll20 account (for the table and dice rolls. Also free to register). 📄 Detailed but brief backstory (1 to 3 pages should suffice). 🎓 Beginners are welcome; I will explain the rules and the system as we play, should need be.

Homebrew rules

- Mechanically speaking, everyone will be Human Variant, like in the shows "Crown of Candy" and Ravening War. - However, you will have unique features that will let you stand out based on where your character is from (Candian, Dairy, Fructeran etc.). - In addition, we will use "Silverplate" homebrew sourcebook for further character customization options.

Safety

How Onur Temel creates a safe table

We will hold a Session 0 to go over all the content warnings, as well as all of the possible Lines and Veils with a detailed Consent Form you can fill, in order to create a safe, welcoming table. Everything is changeable and negotiable; they will all be discussed and taken out of the game accordingly if any one of those stated below make you feel uncomfortable. I will send a consent form where you can write down any potential topics that you may be uncomfortable with. Should we get too close to a line, you can always immediately ask for a pause - out loud or via text message, whatever feels comfortable for you - and we will stop playing. We will also use Session 0 to establish the boundaries between the players, as well as the relationship of their characters and of course, decide on what kind of a story we want to tell in the world of Calorum. Before the start and after the end of every session we'll spend about 15 minutes at least to chat, talk about any potential issues, to go over what happened in the story to identify Bleed and to help you cope with it and leave it behind at the table!
