About the adventure

As you finally reach the City of Wonders, Waterdeep, you find yourself in a tavern to rest. A young-looking girl, a mage, and a bald man are handing out flyers. And once you enter, there may be no way back. _____________________________ When I wrote this campaign, my greatest wish was to create so much roleplay that players would lose themselves in their characters. After running it once, I would say I succeeded. This is a full sandbox story and setting, where you can move freely inside and outside the city while uncovering its mysteries. It was made for a party of good people (chaotic or not), and thus good natured characters will trive in here. You will find yourself in roleplay-heavy sessions where your decisions matter most. Combat is present, but it is not the focus. There will always be alternatives, paths to avoid fighting and resolve conflicts without violence. The campaign is set in 1495 DR, when the scars of the Spellplague are still deeply felt across the world, even on Flamsterd’s Isle, where the archwizard Flamsterd vanished, taking his tower with him. Since this campaign is rated 18+, it will explore heavy themes, but they will be handled with care. Character creation

Creating your character

The creation of the character will be done in discord, during the first session. Stats will be done by point buy, with some changes. The minimum for a stat is 6, and the max is 16. We'll be using Tasha's rules, where species won't have their stats locked. X - I do accept everything that is official, except artificer. I had several bad experiences with people who played that class and I do believe I won't be able to give you a full enjoyful experience. We'll be using 2014 rules.

Preparing for the session

We’ll play on Discord and use Roll20 as our tabletop. Most of the game will be theater of the mind, with Roll20 used only for dice rolls.

What Daliborka (Dali) brings to the table

As DM I will provide music, voice and emotions. I'll give you a story to unfold and change, where at the end you'll be the hero. Expect to get attached to NPCs, to hate others (like, really hate. I've been told I'm pretty good at that) and to spent hours thinking about how to solve a such dense story.

Homebrew rules

You'll be able to drink potions as Bonus Action, and feeding others as action. When you fall to 0 HP, you will not be unconscious but just unable to move. That way, even if you get back to 1 hp, you'll be back on track with everyone else!

How Daliborka (Dali) creates a safe table

Lines and Veils will be discussed during session 0, and written down at the end on the discord. After a difficult moment, we'll have always 5 to 10 minutes break, before resuming. I do want my players comfort and safety. Our X, N and O will be written down on discord chat. After a session ends, as DM I'll be available to listen to theories or questions for 1 more hour. Same as giving a comforting place to vent if the session was peculiarly hard on you.
