About the adventure
Throughout the House, there have been small rumours circulating. Some say Damon Doll found an old Magic, others say it was The Freers, high off of their recent attack on The Bannister Caravan. Perhaps it's Doll, perhaps it was The Freers, one thing is for sure though... Contracts are acting strange near The Dollhouse... Someone must investigate, and that someone is you. One thing is certain, though... Someone has disappeared into the unknown. Goldenbacks and Porcelain Infantry are working together in a rare and stunning display of power. They won't say who disappeared, but with how they are reacting, it can hardly be someone of little significance. People in the Dollhouse have even noted that Damon Doll hasn't been seen around the Dollhouse. Those who have seen him say, "He's clammed up cuz the rozzers are out n' about." Whether that's true or not is to be seen. Will you help The Goldenbacks and Porcelain Infantry? This One Shot will bounce between The Dollhouse, which is very similar to our real life Las Vegas, the surroundings of the Small bedroom, and Tuberdam University.

About me
Hi, I'm Raven! I am in the process of writing a few books, but I love running 7th Sea and Household. I love learning new things, and am more than willing to work with my Players to tell their story. Like many folks, I started tabletops in college. I was working on getting my Associate's in English Ed, but life had other plans. I usually try to keep the rules lenient, even in rules-heavy systems. I have been working on trying to learn systems outside of 7th Sea, including, but not limited to Call of Cthulhu, Edge of The Empire, The One Ring, and Outgunned. I am still learning the systems, but look forward to GMing them. My games are queer, trans, and disabled person-friendly. (I'm the first two of those things, so it would be really weird if I wasn't inclusive.) I love collaboration, so my players are able to really shape the world around their characters.

Creating your character
We will sit down and go through character creation together if you are able or will pull a Character from the book "A Practical Guide to Living Inside the House". If you can, purchase the Household core rulebook and Household character sheet from DriveThruRPG. Regardless, I can help with character building most days of the week. If you do purchase the book, we will be starting at Chapter 1, so you will choose a Profession and Vocation, a Move associated with the Profession, a Trait associated with the Vocation, and 4 Skill points to distribute. (NOTE: Skills cannot have more than 3 Points in Chapter 1.)

What Raven Standefer brings to the table
I am a fan of theatre of the mind, but will also do my best to do voices and provide reference pictures for characters. I try to make everything even in regards to role play and combat. Additionally, I usually run RAW with Rule of Cool as a fall back when I'm uncertain on what the book should read.
Homebrew rules
1. Most Household games will begin at Chapter 3. However, when creating a character, I would suggest creating them one Chapter at a time. 2. When reacting with less than 4 dice, please refer to this rule, and ask for up to 2 dice to get to 4 Dice. 3. Trainwreck - When a player rolls 5 or 6 dice, and the final total, after all applied Rerolls, ends up with no Successes, a Trainwreck is triggered. A Trainwreck is where something changed in the scene that drastically amplifies the tension. The Narrator/GM might use it as a Heat/Danger Point, a narrative-driven amplification of the tension. Players are more than welcome to share ideas.

How Raven Standefer creates a safe table
I gladly use the X/N/O system and the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. I do my best to keep the table comfortable for everyone at it by addressing those the red, yellow, and green in a way that helps everyone play the game; By that, I mean that I put up an anonymous list of Red so that everyone knows the lines not to cross, and will provide a list of Yellow so everyone knows what we need to pause the game to talk about.
