About the adventure
Strap in - it's time for the prison break for all time. You are a member of a plucky band of rebels working to break humanity free from the temporal prison it built around itself. Use your time machines to bury secret meetings, recover information from heists that never happened, and destroy the facilities that shackle the flow of time to mankind's whims. These powers should never have been mankind's to wield. See to it that they are left in the past, where they belong, before humanity succumbs to apathy and despair. And make sure they stay there.

About me
Hello! I'm an American GM that's been running games since January of 2021, and I've been playing TTRPGs with friends and family since sometime in the mid-2010s. I've played a handful of TTRPG systems, including Pathfinder 1st Edition, D&D 5e, Lancer, Fabula Ultima, and Vampire: The Masquerade; I've run games for D&D 5e, Lancer and Fabula Ultima. By far my favorite system I've run a game for is Fabula Ultima, and it is my current go-to system. I try to be as direct and to-the-point as possible when it comes to scheduling and communication and I value consistency in TTRPG schedules very highly - I've only cancelled sessions on a handful of occasions, even for free tables. My favorite inspirations for TTRPG campaigns lie in various video game RPGs, chief among them being NieR: Automata, CrossCode (play it - it's worth it), Xenoblade, Undertale/Deltarune, and Final Fantasy 14. Of course, I can't always keep the Touhou or Project Moon brainrot out either.

Creating your character
Character Creation uses the standard Fabula Ultima character creation rules, starting from the usual level 5 starting point. This, alongside with fleshing out the world according to usual Fabula Ultima world creation guidelines, will be handled in Session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should come prepared with the following: - A Discord account - A microphone (ideally with headphones, to minimize echoing) - A laptop or desktop computer capable of accessing FoundryVTT (For more information, see https://foundryvtt.com/article/requirements/ under "Client Requirements") - A space quiet enough to avoid constant background noise in VC To expedite session 0, it is PREFERRED if you come with: - Thoughts on characters you'd like to play or party roles to fill - Ideas for setting locations, threats, and mysteries - A list of optional rules you're interested in discussing with the group (The materials necessary to bring these to session 0 are provided as campaign materials)
What Brennan brings to the table
I provide the following: - All necessary rules materials, including rulebooks and playtest rules - A custom campaign tailored to the party's backstories - A 24/7-accessible FoundryVTT server, for leveling and reference between sessions - Regular access to rules assistance and communication via Discord I can provide: - Recordings of each session (with unanimous consent from the party) I generally stick to Rules as Written, and allow the Core Rulebook and all three official Atlases (High Fantasy, Techno Fantasy, and Natural Fantasy) for character building.
Homebrew rules
I will use Playtest Initiative when running combats. I will also permit Invoking to Fail and Success at a Cost. For character creation, we will use Quirks and the most recent Playtest re-balancing. Event sources (Necromancer/Ace of Cards) will be usable if the group agrees to it - though Ace of Cards will use Ema's homebrew rework from their discord if allowed. Other homebrew/optional rules are allowed with unanimous agreement from the group and GM.

Safety
How Brennan creates a safe table
Prior to a campaign I ask each player for their Lines and Veils and compile them and my own into an anonymized list, kept in a dedicated channel in our play space. No players know whose Lines and Veils are whose (other than their own) unless they wish to reveal them, so you don't need to fear being mocked, belittled, or intentionally targeted for your lines and veils. Generally at least once per session I will take a bathroom/snack break, and others are free to use that break time as they will. I also don't mind if others hop up to take breaks between turns or scenes involving them - just make it known you're stepping away! If I need time to import something or fix an issue, I also encourage players to take breaks during that time as well - no point wasting the time. My Discord DMs are open to players both in and out of sessions, and during sessions players can discreetly whisper to me through Foundry. (in case I don't notice Discord DMs immediately) I will do my best to comply with X/N/O-esque requests in this manner.
