About the adventure
You may one day rise to become a legendary thaumaturge or even walk the mist-veiled paths of the Wanderlands alongside creatures whispered of in tavern tales—but yours is not such a beginning. Not yet. You were born in the Dales: a secluded valley nestled high among ancient, brooding peaks where the seasons pass like old songs and the outside world is little more than myth. Perhaps you're a farmer, coaxing life from stubborn soil. A village cook, flame and spice your only sorcery. Or a local guard, your blade drawn more often to settle tavern disputes than to face real danger. Life here is simple, slow, and rooted in generations of memory. You know the wind. It dances in the barley fields and hums through the timber of weatherworn cottages. It carries laughter during summer revels and the scent of wildflowers after spring rains. You’ve heard it sigh through the trees and whisper secrets to those who dare to listen. Sometimes—on rare, restless nights—it carries dreams of distant places, too fleeting to grasp, like petals swept downriver. But the wind has changed. Now, it keens as it threads the shattered stones of a long-forgotten tower. Shadows shift at the edge of the forest where no beast should tread. Crows gather at twilight, watching with unsettling patience. A brittle cold has crept into the night air, outlasting the frost and burrowing into bone. Something ancient stirs beneath the roots of the world, and the land holds its breath. What has slept is beginning to wake. And so too must you.

About me
Hello, adventurers! My name is Jason Richardson, and I’ve been immersed in the world of RPGs for the past 40 years. Early on, it became clear that my friends weren’t keen on stepping into the GM role, so I took the reins—and I’ve been behind the screen ever since! With over four decades of experience as a Game Master, I bring a wealth of passion and creativity to every game. Beyond RPGs, I also hold a degree in Illustration, which often leads to players asking me to draw or paint their characters. My approach to games is highly visual, making my sessions immersive and cinematic. I thrive on crafting player-centric, narrative-driven stories that engage and excite. Let’s make some unforgettable adventures together—bring it on!

Creating your character
Will session 0 be free? Unfortunately, No. But if we get to the end of the week 1 session and everything is GROOVY, then I will refund week 1. This is to protect my time in the getting-to-know-you bit, Character creation will be done together at session zero. This will be done in the game and shouldn't take long at all, After this point in their own time, I will expect players to bring a character picture from any source or hand-drawn, and a backstory. The character sheets will be present on a live Google Sheets document.
What to expect

How Jason Richardson creates a safe table
This Game contains elements of HORROR, Demons and supernatural themes; it also contains pseudo-religious elements with visceral combat description notes suitable for the faint of heart, this of course is tempered against comedic moments that always creep into most games. Blood and Gore are commonplace, SAFETY TOOL: In my games, the most important safety tool for your use is the Discord private message feature. I have been DMing weekly using DISCORD since 2016. That’s quite a lot of hours gaming and so far PM the GM seems to work. Also, note that I use an open-door policy so that anyone can leave or take a break from the game for their safety and well-being without being judged. All that is required is DM me just to say you need a TIME-OUT. and if there are any Big Issues that can be talked through honestly and respectfully between myself and the player. For my games, they go for 3 to 4 hours so having a short built-in break about halfway through is essential and is recommended to allow people to stay focused or for other needs like getting food/drink during this time.
