About the adventure
The X-Men are missing or dead. Once the enemy of humanity, Max Eisenhardt, known to the world as Magneto, has inherited the mansion that once served as the team's school and home. Convinced by Moira Mactaggert to continue Xavier's work and fulfill his dream, Max has searched the world for new mutants, finding you and bringing you to Westchester in the hopes the dream may be resurrected. Each X-Men game in this series takes place in a Shared X-Men universe. Talking place in and around the school, several teams of X-Men Trainees work together to solve problems, confront enemies, and learn how to control and utilize their powers for the benefit of man and mutant alike. In-between games, players may cross-roleplay in several PbP channels, getting to know each other and making the school come even more to life. Due to the shared world, when a player can't make it, I offer a guest star spot to members of the other team to fill in for the day when possible. This helps insure we rarely miss a scheduled game, and we get to create a community among our fellow players.

About me
40+ year Gamemaster with experience in many systems. I offer character-driven storylines, role-play, exploration, and tactical combat, along with lots of room for humor. If there's a system you want to learn, I'm patient, knowledgeable, and great at teaching you while still giving you control over your own decisions. Teaching people a new system is a great privilege I accept with humility and gratitude. I do my homework and help you understand things in a friendly and approachable manner. Unique storyline with something of the feel of X-Men '97 but from the viewpoint of younger mutants recruited after this universe's Brood Saga ends with the X-Men not returning. Maps, story, willingness and ability to be flexible following the story of YOUR characters.

How DMReckless | That Isekai Guy creates a safe table
X-Men and New Mutants center around the tales of young mutant soldiers. As such, there may be topics centering around prejudices against mutants, harm to children, and other topics which may be uncomfortable. The main goal of this campaign is to explore how the PCs navigate these issues and remain heroic. However, PLAYER mental and emotional safety are of paramount importance and everyone should be treated with respect and allowed to stop or alter uncomfortable story lines. Lines and Veils will be respected and an ongoing discussion as necessary.
