About the adventure
Strahd has fallen. With the infamous of ruler of Ravenloft gone, that can only mean peace for his former subjects. Can't it? What if fear for the Cursed Prince was the only thing keeping every monster, sorcerer, demon and would-be Prince of Darkness from attempting to claim the land of Barovia for themseves. After all; nature abhors a vacuum. Take the role of a monstrous hero intent on restoring balance to Dungeons and Dragons' most famous horror setting; one fiend at a time. You'll have to make alliances, push back the unending tide of dark forces all trying to make a name for themselves, and uncover your own mysterious origins... and how it relates to Strahd himself. One question remains, however, is the devil you know really better than the devil you don't?

Creating your character
Please feel free to create your own first level character, ensuring that they fall into the horror theme and can fit into the "monstrous hero" category. Think Van Helsing/League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Don't worry if you'd rather have the character built for you. Just let me know the kind of character you'd want to play as and I can build it for you. Previously for this adventure I have happily homebrewed players characters at their request to fit the "monstrous hero" theme. Including a lycan warrior, an undead witch, a haunted doll paladin and a demonic soul hunter.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
This game will use FoundryVTT alongside Discord's video chat system so a functional computer and mic are required, with a webcam being preferred but not essential. This game will also be hosted on the Forge server, so a login to that is required. This can be done for free at the below link: https://eu.forge-vtt.com/account/signup Other than that, just picture your character and prepare for adventure
What Gnoll And Void Games brings to the table
This game will use animations for theatre of the mind, animated battle maps, and music to punctuate the action and build tension. All within one browser interface, along with the video chat. A rule of cool GM with an extensive knowledge of the system and loads of sources to draw from. I also do the voices. Previously for this adventure I have happily homebrewed players characters at their request to fit the "monstrous hero" theme. Including a lycan warrior, an undead witch, a haunted doll paladin and a demonic soul hunter.

Safety
How Gnoll And Void Games creates a safe table
This is a high fantasy setting with evil monsters that will occasionally step outside of the walls of "Saturday Morning Villainy". Every effort will be made to portray these villains as cartoonish and ridiculous but they will not be above resorting to mind games and trickery. After all, they are trying to position themselves as the new ruler of Ravenloft so will need to get their hands dirty. This will use the Lines and Veils and an Open Door policy so that we can create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone
