About the adventure

Saltmarsh is a nondescript fishing village tucked away on the southern coast of the Kingdom of Keoland. For several generations, Keoland was a formidable military power. Its superior cavalry and bold knights pushed the kingdom's borders outward to the north, west, and east. Each successful campaign increased both the crown's wealth and power, and each one in turn drew the kingdom's attention even farther north. The southern coastal regions of Keoland remained a backwater. The crown's benign neglect allowed piracy and banditry to flourish. Saltmarsh and similar towns kept to fishing, content to maintain a low profile and avoid governmental entanglements. Decades ago, the pirates who prowled the waters off Saltmarsh grew strong enough to create their own realm, a loose confederacy known as the Hold of the Sea Princes. With the rise of that nation came increased raids on Saltmarsh and its neighbors. The Sea Princes' raiding ships pillaged the coast for more slaves to support their growing realm, and Saltmarsh suffered heavily. The memories of those times loom heavily over the area, and the locals' hatred of the Sea Princes runs deep.

About me

Greetings Travelers! I'm Ark My table is new player friendly and welcome all types of players to our table, and LGBTQ+ Friendly. So no matter what kind of player or person you are you'll be welcomed at the table. I personally has 14+ years of experience running Dungeons and Dragons Games since around the time of 3.5e Going over 4e and OG 5e while playing around with World of Darkness systems and a little pathfinder. I tend to have more of a laid back and chill personality that plays any and all kind of games, TTRPGs Video Games, Board games. If you name it he has probably played it.

Homebrew rules

- Use of Lines and Veils are heavily encouraged. As well as the use of X's N's and O cards; Due to lack of cards online, 111 are X's - full stops to whatever is happening. 222. are Ns - warnings of a X. 333 is a O - check in on ensuring everyone is alright. - Two Weapon Fighting Variant: Off Hand Attacks are included with your standard attack action but still doesn't add prof bonus to damage rolls - The Player can make the choice to have the DM roll your death saves to keep them hidden for added tension if they so choose - Nat 20s work with ability checks (Within reason) - Persuasion, Deception, and Insight does not work on players, Enjoy your RP! - Encumbrance? -Deaths door: Instead of going unconscious at 0 HP, you'll be placed at death's door. your speed is cut in half, and you loose your ability to make a bonus action and all bonus actions can be used as an action. You still roll death saves as normal at the start of your turn and can take your action to treat your wounds to and gain advantage on your next death save. if you take an offensive action on deaths door you automatically force another saving throw. A natural one on an attack roll on Death's door will be an automatic Failure, A critucal hit on Death's door will be an automatic success. (You do not return to 1 HP or stabilize but counts to 1 on your death saves success) -Platinum and above is ignored. -CONSENT IS KEY!! If a player desires a romance/ship or to *bed* another player they must gain consent first from that player out of game to avoid any awkward or creepy interactions - For Parties understaffed (Under 3 players) we will incorporate "heroic action economy" where PCs can either receive an extra spot in the turn order or receive an extra action and bonus action in the same turn.
