About the adventure
In the world of Obojima, you will play as a local of the island. The island is home to a exotic array of races and strange spirits. In Obojima, the world of whimsical, leisurely, and calm. There is certain slowness to how Obojimans live. They enjoy and savor what the island has to offer. Most Obojimans are communitive, and go out of their way to improve the live of their neighbor. But it does not mean Obojima is completely safe. The world is also home to both benevolent and malicious spirits, and even demons. But despite the danger, the people here do not make war against their neighbor or go into grand battles. Instead they purse the simpler things in life, like being the best courier, spreading joy and precious goodies to families across the island. The witch who wants to perfect her potion making skills. Explorers who dare to map the dangerous underwater coast, and the archologists who wish to discover and preserve the special history of the islands. These are the moments that make Obojima different, no grand fights, no high stakes, just people living their lives on an island. If you want a more relaxing, slow pace and leisurely experience, this adventure is for you. I hope you join me on this wonderful Journey.

About me
Hello my name JP. I’ve been GMing and playing D&D and other tabletop for almost a decade. My style of GMing is very story and roleplay heavy. I love creating immersive stories for my players that are meaningful and challenge their moral decision making. My greatest inspirations for storytelling are, old school BioWare, Critical Role, and White Wolf. I strive to maintain a fun and safe environment for my players, and foster strong communications and civility at the table. I have all players agree to a code of ethics before starting games to ensure a smooth experience. If any issues arises during gameplay, I always encourage my players to communicate with me ASAP so I can resolve the situation. Any player who violates the codes of ethics will be asked to leave the table. Systems that I am proficient with, D&D 5e, Fatecore, Mutants and Mastermind 3rd Ed, and Vampire Masquerade Old World of Darkness. I am also passionate about tabletop and boardgames. Some of my favorite board games are Betrayal on the Haunted House of the Hill, Fluxx, Kings of Tokyo, and Resistance.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should create Discord and Roll20 accounts. These will be the platforms we will be using for our games.
What JP the Traveling GM brings to the table
Doing what I can to provide an immersive experience for my players. From doing character voices, putting in ambient music, and incorporating player character backstories into the session. I believe in doing the rule of cool, and awarding my players for their creativity and imagination.
Homebrew rules
I use flanking rules at my table. Crits do double damage but not spells.

How JP the Traveling GM creates a safe table
All players will go through a zero sessions to discuss the rules and expectations, and code of conduct at the table. We will discuss preferences and any possible triggers to avoid them. I will also go through X, N, and O, cards and what they mean. In our sessions we will take breaks and do aftercare at the end of our sessions. We basically checking in on all the players, how they are doing and what they thought of the session so far.
