About the adventure
Welcome to Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, a thrilling urban adventure set in the legendary City of Splendors. Unlike dungeon crawls or wilderness treks, this story takes place in a living, breathing metropolis filled with bustling taverns, powerful guilds, scheming nobles, and shadowy figures who pull the city’s strings. At the heart of it all lies a hidden treasure a fortune in gold waiting for those bold enough to chase it. This campaign is all about intrigue, roleplay, and choices that matter. You’ll navigate faction rivalries, uncover secrets, and build relationships with allies and enemies alike. Combat certainly plays a role, but clever words, quick thinking, and a keen sense of who to trust (and when to betray them) will often be just as important as your sword or spell book. Whether you’re a newcomer to Dungeons & Dragons or a seasoned adventurer, this game is designed to welcome all experience levels. I provide clear guidance for new players, a collaborative atmosphere for creative roleplay, and plenty of opportunities for characters to shine both in and out of combat. If you’ve ever wanted to explore a vibrant fantasy city where your actions shape the story, this is your chance. So gather your allies, sharpen your wits, and prepare to dive into a tale of danger, mystery, and ambition. The dragon’s hoard awaits but in Waterdeep, nothing is ever simple, and every choice has consequences.

About me
Welcome, Adventurers! Thanks for taking a look at my adventures! I'm an experienced DM/GM with over 40 years of playing and running games under my belt. I absolutely love tabletop RPGs, and there's nothing I enjoy more than sharing that love by crafting unforgettable sessions. Dungeons & Dragons is a favorite of mine, and I bring that passion to every table I run. My goal is always to make the story leap off the page and help players fully immerse themselves in the world around them. While I respect the rules, the characters and story will always come first. It’s about having fun, sharing laughs, and letting the dice help tell the tale. Roll a natural 20? Expect something magical. Roll a 1? Well… it’ll still be magical, but probably not in the way you hoped. 😁 I'm especially passionate about helping new players find their footing, learn to roleplay, and get the most out of their game time. Not seeing the system you love? Just ask, I’m always open to new worlds and adventures. So jump on board and let me take you on a fantastic journey. Oh and don’t forget the snacks! I can’t wait to see you at the table.

Creating your character
The character creation will ideally need to be completed before the first session full help is offered for this as soon as you sign up. I can go through the process with you if needed. Characters created on D&D Beyond. Characters start at 3rd level using the 2024 rule set.
Roll for Stats in Discord using Avrae (roll four sets of 4d6 dice, drop the lowest die from each set) or use Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8). We use Milestone leveling, so you don't have to track XP. You are heroes, here to save the day. Please don't make overpowered or homebrew characters, evil characters, or races and classes from other worlds than the one we’re playing in. No player vs player violence or stealing from the party members. Current party: Elamaer Cuthre Lvl 3 | Elf | Ranger / Gloom Stalker Rowen Gralhund Lvl 3 | Half-Elf | Sorcerer / Draconic Sorcery Yixing Lvl 3 | Tiefling | Bard / College of Dance
