About the adventure

You were humble toymakers once, crafting soft and snuggly dragon plushies—perfect gifts for children, collectors, and anyone who wanted a dragon without all the fire-breathing. Then you broke the rules. Your shop always had three very important policies: - Never sew with enchanted thread. - Never use potions as fabric softener. - Never, ever test dragon plushies after midnight. And, well… you broke all three. Now your stuffed dragons have come alive, grown into real ones, and are running amok across the countryside. A green one is spreading plague through the forest. A golden one has turned a gingerbread lair into a death trap. And a silver one has fallen in with a cult that thinks plushie magic is the key to unmaking the world. In this 4–5 session mini-campaign, we’ll play through the first three adventures of Dragon Delves with this plushie twist: Death at Sunset — A green plushie has twisted into a plague-breathing dragon. Baker’s Doesn’t — A golden plushie has turned a candy wonderland into a trap-filled dungeon. The Will of Orcus — A silver plushie has fallen in with a death cult. Here’s the fun part: you don’t just have to play a toymaker—you can also play as one of the good toys. Using the Geppettin lineage from Valda’s Spire of Secrets (access to book's content provided). The toymakers and their heroic plushies will work side by side, unraveling the chaos their runaways have caused. This campaign blends humor, whimsy, and high-stakes dragon fights, perfect for players who want D&D with a playful, cozy twist.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To get ready for the campaign, please complete the following before Session 0: Create a free account on D&D Beyond – this is my preferred method for character sheets, as it makes things smooth and is the easiest way for me to add you into the campaign which we'll be running using D&D Beyond Maps.

What Dice Whisperer (aka Laura) brings to the table

Important Notes: Sessions will be held on Zoom. You’ll receive a recurring Zoom link once you’re confirmed for the campaign. We play with cameras on (so we can see each other’s delightful reactions). Headphones are helpful to cut down on background noise. Bring tea, snacks, and whatever makes you feel comfy at the table.
