About the adventure

"The city-states of Iblydos rule an archipelago steeped in mythic power, legendary beasts, and ancient history. Yet the region suffers; the myth-speaking rites that elevate great heroes into mortal demigods are failing, with few of the hero-gods surviving to guide their people and grant magic. All of this changes when a god's death awakens a forgotten source of mythic potential, transforming the player characters into the first new hero-gods in recent memory. But what is this mythic power, and will it revitalize Iblydos or doom it entirely?" "Myth-Speaker" is a Pathfinder Second Edition adventure for four 1st-9th-level characters. The Myth-Speaker Adventure Path is a three-part campaign. The campaign begins with the funeral games of a recently deceased hero. However, an ominous meteor crashes nearby and changes the heroes' fates forever.

About me

Hi there! My name's Rob, but I'm probably better known as TheBipolarDiceRoller. I have been running TTRPG sessions professionally for the last 9 years. Aside from my daily sessions, I also develop content for members of my Discord community. If you are interested in checking out some of my games, make sure to head over to my Twitch or YouTube channel: BipolarDiceRoller. - Rob, a.k.a Bipolar

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters must be prepared before the session takes place. Typically we will hold a session 0/1 in which everyone will put their characters together, enquire about specifics and conclude their concepts. I'm typically available at most hours of the day to discuss character creation (amongst other concerns) via my Discord server.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Video is not required but also not discouraged. All players require a microphone to participate in sessions, preferably one of ample quality. Rules research is not required but encouraged (you will need to know enough to be capable of creating a character). I frequently make myself available to discuss rules and assist with learning. You must have a browser installed capable of accessing the Forge (a Foundry Cloud Hosting Site) and a device capable of running the VTT. Lastly, Discord will be utilised as vehicle of communication as well as our music hosting service.

What Bipolar brings to the table

I will provide players with a fully outfitted adventure module with which to play the campaign on. This includes, but is not limited to the following; High Resolution Visual Resources and Effects, Automated Character and NPC Actors, Atmospheric Sound Cues and Adventure Resource Storage.

Homebrew rules

My tables utilise the following variant rules: Ancestry Paragon, Free Archetype and Gradual Ability Boosts.

Safety

How Bipolar creates a safe table

I typically run my games using the rules as prescribed, but if an obvious discrepancy or interesting opportunity arises, the exact ruling may be relaxed to compensate. I pride myself on constructing in depth and dynamic narratives for my players, ones which revolve around and are directly influenced by their decisions. Therefore, inter-character roleplay is encouraged at my tables, and individualism is discouraged (unless it makes narrative sense and doesn't significantly exclude others from play).
