About the adventure

This campaign was made with player freedom in mind: there are no outright bans on your build, only a few house rules for balance's sake. Like a West March, we are structured into one-shots where we level up every session. Our usual group is very welcoming and chill. And even thought its one-shot focused, I still give your characters their own storylines. Expect dynamic combat encounters, fast-paced sessions, and lots of laughs.

About me

Wizards of the Coast DM Challenge Top 3 - And #1 in the USA! I love sharing in your character's story and trying to create the most fun gameplay possible! I've DMed for private events at GenCon, Comic-Con, Alamo Drafthouse, Wizards of the Coast's livestream, and many hilarious home games. I actively work to shape sessions to the table's vibe, often mixing popular official campaigns with improvised twists that fit your backstory.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters can be rolled using the 4d6, drop the lowest method or with point buy/standard array. Free feat at creation unless your background already has it. All WotC and third-party D&D Beyond books allowed. You can also message me over Discord if you need help with a build idea or to check the party comp. I will provide a D&D Beyond campaign link ahead of the game to share my content. Final builds will be approved during session 0.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have a Roll20, D&D Beyond, and Discord account before the game starts. They will also need a microphone and stable internet. I will send links to the campaigns. As said above, having character concepts ahead of time is allowed/encouraged and I can help with creation if need be.

What Sergio Sólorzano - ActionSerg brings to the table

I bring D&D Beyond access if needed with 2024 and 2014 PHB, expansions, and certain third-party source sharing. I use colorful, detailed maps and reactive soundtrack to set the scene, plus certain animated effects for big events. For RP, I voice NPCs and get as involved as the party wants with their inclusion.

Homebrew rules

Silvery Barbs is a 2nd-level spell, and as such cannot be taken as part of the Fey-Touched feat. Perkins Crit (take max damage + one die roll instead of double dice rolls) Free Origin Feat at creation if background doesn't include one.

Safety

How Sergio Sólorzano - ActionSerg creates a safe table

Before Session 0 I will provide an anonymous checklist of potential triggers and we will discuss party boundaries and how we as a group will approach this more serious campaign. XNO cards are used via private messaging on Discord. Game will be played on Roll20 for visuals and tactical maps with Discord (camera optional) used for chat. Beyond20 extension is used for connecting D&D Beyond to Roll20.
