About the adventure
A century ago, the Heroes of Prophecy defied fate, vanquished the Titans, and ascended as gods. Now their temples rise over a peaceful Thylea, the Dragonlords have been reborn, and the divine pantheon watches from above. But even the gods cast long shadows… The cycle of creation has cracked. A hidden throne lies vacant in the heavens, and whispers of a broken prophecy speak of mortals touched by divine sparks. As omens stir and cults gather in secret, children of titans and god-marked mortals rise to challenge fate—and each other. The next age of gods is coming… and it will be forged in fire, blood, and choice. This is a mythic, high-fantasy campaign inspired by ancient Greek epics. You’ll travel through lush forests, sunlit coasts, and forgotten ruins; challenge monsters, forge alliances, and uncover lost relics of divine power. Your characters begin as mortals, but they may one day shape the heavens themselves. This game is for players who love heroic journeys, big choices, and epic storytelling. Expect dramatic roleplay, cinematic battles, and ancient mysteries. New and veteran players are welcome—your legend begins here.

About me
Welcome to the Table—Leave Your Boring at the Door Let’s be clear: I like to have fun. The kind of fun that makes you say, “Wait... did we just ride a beholder like a rodeo bull and survive?” I’ve been around the gaming block more times than a bard's been kicked out of taverns. I've played just about every version of Dungeons & Dragons and a smattering of other systems, from high fantasy to "why is this pigeon carrying a gun?" Whatever the world, my goal is always the same—make it epic, make it cinematic, and for the love of dice, make it fun. Now, I’m all about the Rule of Cool. Want to parkour off a wyvern’s head while firing a crossbow upside down? If it makes sense and sounds awesome, hell yes, let's roll for it. But here’s the deal: Cool doesn't mean chaos. We still play by the rules—this isn’t a lawless wasteland. It's more like... a very stylish heist where the DM is the alarm system, and you're trying to outsmart me with flair and minimal property damage. Mostly. I welcome all kinds of players, from dice-slinging veterans to curious newbies who still think THAC0 is a brand of chip dip. But remember: this game isn’t about you steamrolling every scene like a caffeinated murderhobo with main character syndrome. We’re here to build a story together. Everyone gets a spotlight, everyone gets a say, and yes, even the guy who named his character “Blüdgør the Edgelord” gets a chance to shine. So buckle up, bring your best ideas, your worst puns, and your most questionable battle plans. If you’re ready to play hard, laugh harder, and maybe cry a little when the talking sword you adopted dies heroically, then welcome to my game. Let’s raise some hell—with a proper initiative roll, of course.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen before the first session, with plenty of support if you need help tying your backstory into the world of Thylea. I’ll provide prompts, setting info, and optional origin templates to get you started. Starting Level: 1 Ability Scores: We use the point buy system with 32 points. Sources Allowed: All official 5e (2014) books and the Odyssey of the Dragonlords sourcebook are allowed. Homebrew or Unearthed Arcana options must be approved in advance. Character Sheet Platform: We use Foundry but you can create your character on DnD Beyond. Just follow the guidelines in the character creation document. You’ll be playing in a mythic world where gods walk among mortals, destinies are forged in fire, and your spark may lead to ascension. Choose whether you’re a Dragonlord-in-training, a temple envoy, or a sparkborn touched by fate. Need help? I'm happy to guide new and experienced players alike.
A diverse band of heroes bound by fate and prophecy. Though only 4th level, each brings something unique to the growing legend. Siren Bard – A charming voice and quick wit, using music and mischief to guide and protect. Yuan-Ti Druid – Calm and calculating, with a deep connection to nature’s secrets and serpentine power. Nymph Diviner Wizard – Touched by ancient magic and otherworldly beauty, gazing beyond the veil of the present to glimpse possible futures, bending fate with whispered omens and careful foresight. Together, they are a blend of strength, faith, and cunning — heroes whose paths are just beginning to intertwine beneath the eye of destiny.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before we begin, make sure to complete the following steps so you're ready to play: Create a Discord account (free) – if you don’t already have one. We are using Foundry VTT. Join my Discord server – this is where we’ll handle voice chat, game announcements, and out-of-game communication. Join the Roll20 game – where the adventure will take place. Links to both the Discord and Roll20 game will be provided after you sign up. You don’t need to install any programs—both Discord and Roll20 run in your web browser (though the Discord app is recommended for stability). If you have any issues with setup, I’m happy to help you get started.
What Chris brings to the table
I aim to create a fun, engaging environment where you feel both challenged and celebrated. I will be your toughest opponent and your biggest fan—cheering you on as you overcome epic battles while pushing your characters to their limits. Combat will be intense, tactical, and rewarding. Smart play and teamwork can turn the tide. Expect strategic encounters that make use of terrain, movement, and clever thinking. I bring scenes to life with character voices and ambient music, helping to create an immersive experience that enhances both roleplay and tension. My GM style strikes a balance between Rules as Written and the Rule of Cool. I call it “cool within the rules”—expect the game to be fair and consistent, but also cinematic and flexible when it makes the moment better. You’ll always know where you stand, and you’ll always have room to shine. Whether you're a veteran or new to Dungeons & Dragons, I’m here to help you have an unforgettable adventure.

How Chris creates a safe table
Your fun, safety, and comfort at the table are top priorities. This is a space for heroic stories, shared creativity, and respectful collaboration. I use the X, N, & O cards safety system: X = I need this to stop right now. N = I’m not okay with where this is headed—let’s shift or fade to black. O = I’m good—let’s continue. We have X, N, and O cards in the game, they can be typed into chat, or messaged privately—whatever you’re most comfortable with. We will also take at least one break per session to give everyone a moment to rest and recharge. A Stars and Wishes are also encouraged after the session so you can note topics you'd prefer to avoid entirely or only imply (fade-to-black). This helps us set clear boundaries and expectations before play begins. In Session 0, we’ll discuss tone, themes, character creation, safety tools, and answer any questions so you can dive into the game feeling prepared and supported. After each session, you’re welcome to reach out with feedback, questions, or concerns—I’m always happy to talk and make sure you’re having a great time at the table.
