About the adventure
Welcome to Elmore - a town so small, you can fit its entire economy on a dinner plate. Nestled between rolling hills and suspiciously large molehills, Elmore is famous for three things: pies, eccentric neighbors, and its proximity to the infamous Plover Caves. You start here, humble in origin but perhaps a little too curious for your own good. Whether you’re a would-be hero, an overconfident baker, or someone who just really likes mushrooms, your story begins in this cozy oddball community. The Plover Caves are home to Beasts & Blooms - creatures so bizarre they straddle the line between adorable and horrifying, delicious and dangerous. From pudding-like predators to flowers that tell uncomfortable truths, every expedition into the caves promises strange encounters, unlikely treasures, and maybe even dinner. Just… be sure you’re not the one on the menu. Beast Feast is a game of lighthearted danger and absurd heroics. One moment you’re sharing a heartfelt meal with friends, the next you’re bargaining with a carnivorous turnip. Comedy and creepiness walk hand-in-hand here, and while the stakes may grow as your adventures unfold, the tone always stays playful, silly, and a little bit strange. If you’ve ever wanted to save the day and bring home leftovers, this is your table. This campaign is new-player friendly - no experience needed, just a willingness to laugh, explore, and get a little weird. Before we begin, we’ll have a free, 3-hour Session Zero to introduce the rules, build characters, and set the tone. If you’re joining after the adventure is already underway, you’ll get your own free, 90-minute catch-up session to create your character and weave them into the story so you can jump right in without missing a beat.

About me
Hello! I'm an experienced Game Master with a passion for guiding players through immersive and unforgettable tabletop role-playing experiences. I've successfully run multi-year online campaigns in settings like the Forgotten Realms and Humblewood, and have also led numerous in-person one-shots. I love introducing new players to the hobby and am particularly excited about the Daggerheart system, which I'll soon be running in an upcoming in-person campaign. I genuinely enjoy teaching the ropes and believe I'm a great choice for anyone looking to dive into the world of TTRPGs!

Creating your character
We’ll create characters together using Demiplane, the official online tool partnered with Darrington Press for Daggerheart. You do not need to buy anything - once you’re added to our group, you’ll have access to all paid content I own. Character creation will happen during Session Zero (or your free 90-minute catch-up session if you join late), so you don’t need to come in with anything more than a few ideas. We’ll walk through the process step-by-step, making sure everyone understands how their abilities work and how their backstory ties into Elmore and the world around it. We’ll be starting at Level 1, with stats generated as part of Daggerheart’s creation process - no dice rolling or point-buy math required. You’re welcome to choose options from the official Daggerheart material, and you may also play content from The Void if you’d like to get a little extra weird. Whether you’re building a valiant hero, a scheming opportunist, or someone whose main talent is cooking stew while chaos erupts around them, we’ll make sure your character fits both the tone of the campaign and the fun, absurd spirit of Beast Feast.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before you can dive into Beast Feast, there are just a couple of quick steps to get set up: Join the Campaign Discord – You’ll receive an invite link when you sign up. We’ll use this for voice and video during our sessions, as well as for scheduling, announcements, and general nonsense between games. Create a Demiplane Account – Head to Demiplane and sign up for a free account. Once you’re in, I’ll add you to our group and share all the paid Daggerheart content with you. Check Your Tech – Make sure your microphone, camera, and internet connection are ready for game night. We’ll be playing with both voice and video on, so we can see your reactions to the weird stuff in the Plover Caves. Bring Your Ideas – You don’t need a full character concept yet (we’ll make them together during Session Zero), but it’s helpful to think about the kind of personality, vibe, or backstory seeds you might want to explore.
What Ethan brings to the table
As your GM, my goal is to make Beast Feast feel like a living, breathing (and occasionally burping) world you can’t wait to explore. You can expect: Plenty of Character Voices – From nervous townsfolk to overconfident Beasts, I bring NPCs to life with distinct personalities and voices, so you’ll always know who’s talking… even if they’re a talking turnip. Detailed Theater of the Mind Combat – We won’t be moving miniatures on a grid, but battles will be described vividly so you can picture every absurd, dangerous, and hilarious moment. Story-First Play – Rules matter, but story matters more. I love a good bit of rule crunch, but if bending the rules a little keeps the scene flowing or makes something more epic, we’ll go with the Rule of Cool. A Welcoming, Inclusive Table – Whether you’re a first-time player or a seasoned adventurer, you’ll have space to explore your character, make choices that matter, and share in the spotlight. Expect a game that mixes laughter with just enough creepiness to keep you on your toes — a place where heartfelt moments, strange discoveries, and ridiculous hijinks live side-by-side.

How Ethan creates a safe table
During Session Zero, we’ll review Lines and Veils to establish what topics to avoid or handle gently, ensuring everyone feels safe. We’ll also share Stars and Wishes so I can tailor the game to what you enjoy most and what you’d like to see more of. This helps create a fun and comfortable space for everyone at the table.
