About the adventure
Welcome to the Call of Drækonspire, a classic fantasy campaign that features a campaign frame with many of its details left blank to be molded and decided together as a table. An ancient enemy has been reborn, and the lands are facing the threat of extinction. How will you conquer evil and restore peace to the land? Campaign Frame: The Call of Drækonspire Complexity Rating: ● The Pitch: Legends tell of wars from long ago raged by the great kings of the skies: Dragons, the first wielders of magick and the greatest and most terrible of conquerors this realm has known. Over a millennium ago, they were driven back, struck from the skies, and buried beneath the Drækonspire mountains. These lords have since faded into legend and folklore, most coming to believe that they were a product of mythology and fable. But with a great crack of thunder, Drækonspire has awoken. The dragon lords roam the skies once more, and few stand strong enough to face them. Tone and Feel: Adventurous, heartfelt, thrilling, inspiring, heroic. Themes: Decided by YOU! Touchstones: The Legend of Zelda, The Elder Scrolls, The Hobbit, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Ni no Kuni. This is an ongoing campaign using the brand new Daggerheart RPG from Critical Role's Darrington Press. Games are going to be run weekly, with a focus on exploration, combat, and individual character arcs! Each PC's background and input will be instrumental to the plot and development of the world. Those unfamiliar with the rules are welcome, as well as those who know them front to back. It will be a learning experience for everyone :) *This table is welcome to all and enforces a strict policy of kindness and deceny amongst its players. 【PbP Adventures】 This campaign also has Play by Post adventure options, which charge a flat rate for the week. I'm originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, but I currently live in Tokyo, Japan. I speak English and Japanese, and a little bit of Mandarin. I'm a writer, animator, artist, conlanger, worldbuilder, and GM (as you can probably tell)! I started running tabletop RPGs shortly after trying them for the first time, and I’ve been hooked ever since. There are few experiences more satisfying than running a game and watching the chemistry between characters come alive. I got my first taste of D&D in 2018, and I've been chasing that high ever since. I’m a massive nerd (aren’t we all here?). Notable loves of mine include Star Wars, The Dark Crystal, The Lord of the Rings, The Legend of Zelda, the works of Studio Ghibli, and space horror like Alien and Dead Space. What Keilan brings to the table
I will bring the virtual tabletop (owlbear rodeo) accessible by browser, tokens, music, and adventure! I use the rules as written as a framework, but rely greatly on the Rule of Cool and common sense to keep the scene moving and the spotlight shifting. My biggest goal is to have each player experience satisfying growth both narratively and mechanically. Don't be surprised if the game isn't run exactly by the books!
