MYZ: Genlab Alpha - Divine Comedy
The Machines have kept you in Paradise Valley for generations. But now you've joined the Resistance to take them down and free all Mutant Animals.
About the adventure
There is no place like home. Or so the saying goes. Paradise has been where you've lived all your life, in your Tribe's enclosure, surrounded by tall electric fences and robotic watchers controlling your every move. But was it home, really? You've heard once from the scholarly Seer that Humans had a different word for it, back then... Prison? But this life has been chosen for you. This is the way things are, so there's no point in debate. No, in fact, screw all that. Paradise is prison, and the Watchers are mechanical tyrants, vacant shells with no soul of their own, following protocols of Gods who have been long dead and gone. And you're not alone. The resistance is rising up from the shadows, slowly, ready to liberate all Animal Mutants from Paradise Valley. This IS your home, and no machine overlord can dictate how you live. Reckoning is coming, so are you ready to fight for your freedom — or will you succumb to the horrors of Genlab Alpha? [BEGGINER FRIENDLY || 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ INCLUSIVE || NO AI ALLOWED] Welcome to Mutant Year Zero: Genlab Alpha. This game explores the campaign 'Escape From Paradise', the tale of how the Mutant Animals rebelled against their machine overlords and fled Paradise Valley to join the rest of the world's leftovers in the Zone. This is a game of espionage, revolution, political intrigue, tradition vs progress, and learning from humanity's mistakes that led to the world's end. Paradise Valley is vast, and there are many mysteries and dangers abound. This is, above all, a game of survival and fighting for your beliefs. Players of all experience levels are welcome, be it your first time with your system or TTRPGs in general! Year Zero is very friendly and easy to understand. The game will be heavily focused on roleplaying and interacting with all the different Animal Tribes, as well as progressing the resistance's fight through tactical scenes to make you feel like you're truly operating a rebellious movement with agent cells and missions. It'll be my pleasure and honour to have you join me for this tale of intrigue and resistance, and to guide you through the many secrets of Genlab Alpha! I'm a GM who values immersion, player choice, inclusivity and a safe environment above else. And I invite you to explore the gritty yet fascinating world of Mutant Year Zero alongside me!

About me
Hello, I'm Lara Lee, but you can just call me Lee! I've been completely in love with TTRPGs for years now, an as an artist have always love creating and sharing those passions with others. Building worlds and rich character casts to explore all kinds of stories with people is a huge drive in my life. My games always aim to provide rich stories centered around the players and their own drives. From horror to romance to wild adventures, a lot of queerness, and a place where people can belong and tell their own story.

Storytelling
Creativity
Lee is a welcoming, friendly Storyteller willing to accomodate and help newcomers and veterans alike. She sets a nice atmosphere with music during the game, and is willing to work with players incorporating elements of their backstory into the session. I had fun playing with her and would overall recommend her.
She is a great GM, always going for what's most important for the story, with the player characters' choices having great weight on what happens. Lee creates a very inclusive game table, making sure everyone is comfortable and safe. She has a great focus on atmosphere, mood, and uses music and visuals for great effect in that regard.
Character creation
Creating your character
As a group, we will work on character creation together during Session 0. I will help everyone through the process and we will discuss together how to better fit each and every character into the setting and story in a way that works and is fun for everyone. Beyond that, I will always be available for one-on-one help with the character.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
• Discord (Required) • The Forge Account (Required) • Microphone (Required) All the necessary material will be available on Foundry (hosted through The Forge) at all times. Players are expected to familiarize themselves with the setting and their character motivations during session zero. My goal is to make learning the system and its rules as easy and accessible as possible throughout the game, and I also offer one-on-one time in case extra help is needed in learning the ropes or making a compelling character that is fun for you to play.

How LeeKat creates a safe table
Session Zero, as well the days leading up to it and those leading up to first session, will be used for character creation, discussing everything that will be explored within the game and how the campaign will work, and we'll also use that time to get to know each other, where everyone's limits are, and how we can make this the best possible experience. This is our time to clarify any and everything about the game, characters, and expectations, and make sure everyone is on the same page. Session 0 is free of charge. We'll use Monte Cook's checklist as the starting point for our Lines and Veils, so that everyone can keep in mind their peer's limits and preferences. I provide all safety tools through Foundry in an easy and practical way for players to communicate whether a scene needs to be paused or skipped, as well as ways to "raise your hand" if there is any need to interject and make any of your needs known. Besides the tools available to everyone, all players can privately DM me for any matters they'd rather discuss privately at any point during or after a session. Stars and Wishes as well as Aftercare is how we keep the group dynamic healthy and help each other shape the game to something is more enjoyable to everyone, exchanging feedback as needed, discussing any changes that might be required, and praising everyone for a job well done as well as making sure boundaries are respected. This is the moment where players can voice their desires for the game going forward, and I will always keep and open line of communication of any issues are needed to be discussed privately. The game is roleplay-heavy and focuses on how the characters navigate their environment and interact with the world. Naturally, that also means the focus of the story will always be the players and their desires. Regardless of "plot", it is the players who shape the narrative to their liking, and a fun story everyone enjoys is always the priority. Above all, a safe and comfortable environment for people to express themselves is the most important thing.
