About the adventure

As the Earth quickly tips once again toward the chaos of war, young pilots stationed in a military base on the outskirts of a city try to pass the time, train, and largely just serve out their military service. Unfortunately for them, the unending mundanity of their service shall soon come to an end, and thrust them into a conflict they barely understand, and perhaps don't even want to be a part of. This custom One-Shot is meant to introduce a new player to Steel Hearts. It features a custom setting that is a blend of the default Steel Hearts setting and Gundam, namely the Universal Century, as well as some other mecha media.

About me

Hi there! Long time GM of my home group, as well as various online games. My interest with table top roleplaying really started when I was ten, and made a dice rolling mechanic to accompany a story that I had my friend play through. It wasn't too long after that when my sister gifted me her copy of the second edition Dungeons and Dragons Player's Handbook. From there, I got together with some friends, and started playing. Going forward, we eventually moved to fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons, as well as various other systems over the years. I generally consider myself a bit of a mega nerd. A lot of my childhood was spent reading things like “Star Wars: the Essential Guide to Characters” and other such books, and when I began to delve into the internet, reading various fan run wikis. Lately, Doctor Who and Gundam have been by major nerd spheres of interest.

Character creation
Creating your character

Players will be given access to a number of premade characters and mechs to choose from. If a player wants, I can run through the character creation process as well, however that is generally beyond the scope of this one-shot.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Players will be expected to have the following: -A discord account -Decent Internet -A decent microphone -To be decently audible and not have a ton of background noise -A roll20 account will also be required for the purpose of maps Knowledge of the system is not required, nor is any real knowledge of mecha fiction.

What Char brings to the table

I have a fair amount of genre knowledge, and have years of experience as a GM. I tend to do some voices for characters, I'm not a voice actor by any means, but enough to distinguish between various characters encountered.
