About the adventure
In a brackish floodplain, the town of Saltmarsh awaits. Here, the people are as weather-hardened as their steel-gray coast, and fortune is as only as generous as she is dangerous. Yet, wealth and fame are only a breath away for anyone willing to risk life and limb. It is not a place for the faint of heart, but it is a land of adventure! Hello, Adventurers! In this campaign, you'll play as a band of adventurers-for-hire. You'll seek out rumors of lost treasure, soul-chilling monsters, and wonderous magic items, choosing which missions you want to accept and which you'll reject. This ensures you get to play the adventures that sound most exciting to you as your characters explore Saltmarsh and the lands beyond. The 5th-level adventure utilizes the D&D 5e (2024) ruleset, although integration with 2014 subclasses is permitted. I'm more than happy to teach the 5e (2024) system as we play. Consequently, players of all skill levels and experience are welcome.

About me
**NOTE**: If you aren't seeing a campaign or one-shot you'd like to join at a time you're available, message me about a custom adventure. I'm flexible on scheduling and happy to run most modules or home-brew games. I love storytelling! IRL, I'm a professional ghostwriter and a forever DM, running several multi-year campaigns. I've been playing D&D since the 90s and DMing 5e since 2015. So if you are looking for a game where we blend thrilling combat, compelling social encounters, and worldbuilding exploration to create captivating, collaborative stories, this is the table for you!

Creating your character
We'll create characters together during Session Zero. If we have players who have never made a character on D&D Beyond before, I'll do a walk through of the process. Either way, I'll be present throughout to answer any questions that might arise.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
For this campaign, you'll need the following: - Discord account - D&D Beyond account - A microphone or headset suitable for use on Discord (your phone can work for this if you have a quiet area to play) - A computer, laptop, tablet, or a combination of these capable of running both Discord and D&D Beyond simultaneously. - Webcams are optional We'll use Disord to talk during the sessions. Once you secure your spot in the game, you'll receive the link to join my server. We'll use D&D Beyond Maps for our VTT. I understand that this is a new platform for many people. However, it's straightforward to use and runs easily on most computers. There's nothing to download for it, and I'll do an orientation to it during Session Zero. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions as you prepare for the session.
