About the adventure

The Basics: Fate of the Oracle is an adventure for five 3rd level characters. Over the course of the adventure, the characters will advance to 7th level. The adventure is set in Arkadia, a bronze age world inspired by ancient Greek mythology and history. The adventurers will explore the dry hills, ancient ruins, and perilous coast of the Trident, a region of Arkadia. The Hook: The characters are in the shining city of Ithea when they hear a plea from the messenger of a minor Arkadian king, Leandros of Illos. The messenger came to Ithea seeking the aid of the city, but was told the city could spare not a single ship nor spear as it was mustering its own defense. He bears a scroll, marked with a seal depicting three leaping dolphins. The scroll tells that Leandros’ heir and daughter, the princess Alexandra, a powerful oracle, has gone missing. His sailors are beset by strange creatures from the deep, and can neither fish nor trade. Thus he has sent for warriors, philosophers, and all who carry the gifts of the gods. For the safe return of his daughter, he has promised a hundred thousand Tridents, the silver coins of Ithea.

About me

I have around 6 years of playing and running TTRPGs. I have DM'd a wide range of systems and modules in both pen/paper and online, providing immersive and challenging encounters and stories. I am drawn in by the creativity of my players as they interact with the adventure and shape it to suit their characters. I offer a mix of original adventures and modules to best bring about a player character's destiny and provide an engaging experience. My preferred platforms are Discord and Foundry or Roll20 depending on the system.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation will happen before the game over Discord where you can message/call me and we can work out your character in full. Starting Level: 3rd Stats: Standard Array or Point Buy HP: Max on each level up. Gear: Your basic starting equipment, whatever is provided by your background and any tools that you have proficiency with other than vehicles. You also start with 2 basic healing potions. All official source books are allowed but any backgrounds that grant feats or spells are banned. If there is any homebrew you would like to use then let me know and I can take a look at it. I am pretty open to homebrew overall.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A Mic is required. You will need internet access as well to access foundry at a link I will provide when we make characters and start playing. Foundry does not require any download as it is web based but you will require a Forge VTT account as that is where I host Foundry VTT. I welcome my players to use their own dice if they have them, or they can use the digital dice on Foundry VTT if they would rather have the math all done for them. If you are new to 5e or Forge/Foundry then let me know so that I can assist with any questions or issues that may arise.

What Ark brings to the table

I will provide Foundry VTT, custom maps and any resources required to running the game or making your character sheets. I also use (usually awful) character voices and the occasional ambient music. I tend to prefer Rules as Written but am more than willing to go with Rule of Cool.
