Tempest of the Eternal (Free Session 0)
A corruption is settling upon the land. Will our heroes let themselves be overtaken? Or will history speak of those strong enough to take a stand.
About the adventure
Disclaimer: The continent on which you will be playing is set in the world of Exandria, however, other than artifacts and some shared gods, it is completely separate from Wildemount or Tal'dorei. Welcome to the continent of Vau'Chora! Six major cities make up this continent, each with its own module that will send you on a quest through the city and sometimes beyond. There are 5 home-brew modules and 1 WOTC module within this continent, and a plethora of side quests that will offer unique and powerful rewards. The continent of Vau'Chora is experiencing peace between the cities, and trade flows between each city with ease. Under the surface, however, a sickness has taken hold of the land. How long will the peace last when the leaders of the cities slowly realize there isn't enough food to go around, and natural resources are becoming increasingly difficult to harvest. Can our heroes diffuse the rising tension and heal the land from a growing corruption? Or will the continent be thrust into war, with each city vying for resources.

About me
Hello adventurers! I am excited to put my hat in the ring to vie for the title of Beloved Dungeon Master. I have been playing DnD for about 7 years now, and I have been DM'ing for the majority of those years. I use Tabletop Simulator for my encounters, and use discord for our meeting place. I use a healthy amount of home-brew for my games (including the setting), but I do have some WOTC modules set throughout my world!

Character creation
Creating your character
If you would like to use an already created character, that will be fine as long as it is a rules as written character, but creating a character during session 0 is recommended, as you will get a feel for the world and understand better which classes may be best for the coming encounters, and you will also have the opportunity to use home-brew classes and backgrounds (I will veto home-brew if it is too overpowered or does not work with rules as written).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
- Discord - A microphone - A webcam (optional but encouraged) - D&D Beyond account - Tabletop Simulator (optional) *Tabletop Simulator is what I use for a number of encounters for this campaign. If you have TTS, then you will be able to join the lobby and control your own miniature. If not, I will stream the program, and you will be able to see it from Discord.
What Andreas brings to the table
As far as my DM style, I prefer my players to what kind of sessions you will have. If my group is more into role-play, I will give ample opportunity for RP. If combat is what really draws you to D&D, then combat you will have. If I have a group of individuals who all want different things, then prepare for a balanced amount of RP, combat, and puzzles. I do my best with voices and accents, but I am no Matt Mercer (and I don't try to be). I am still working on implementing music over spotify. When it comes to the rules as written, or the rule of cool, I believe a balance of each makes D&D really shine. What does that mean? If what you are trying to do will set a precedent that will break the rules of our campaign forever, I will probably say no. If what you want to do is flavorful and gives your character an edge in a certain circumstance because of a real in-game reason, I will probably say yes. I really only don't allow the breaking of the game entirely. I have a D&D Beyond Master tier subscription, so you will have access to the player's handbook (2014) and the monster manual (2014). I also have a Hero Forge subscription, so if you create a miniature of your character on HF, and then send me the link, then you can expect your character to appear exactly how you like during our encounters!
Homebrew rules
Potions are bonus actions (However, feeding another character a potion is a full action). Death saves are made in private.

How Andreas creates a safe table
During session 0 I will open the floor to each player to allow them to express what they do not want to see or even hear about in the campaign. I have ground rules of what I do not, under any circumstances, include in my games, and I will list them below. If a player has a subject that they would rather keep secret that they do not want in the game, then the player can message me, and with no questions asked, can be assured that the content will not be included in the campaign. Subjects that are by default off limits: - Sexual Assault (There will be no non-consensual sexual conduct of any kind, by the players or by the DM. There may be times of NPCs making an advance on a player or vice versa, but it will never culminate in SA of any kind.) - Sexual Content (Romances are fair game, but any physical descriptions will be off limits, and will fade to black immediately.) -Death of Children (There will be no descriptions of young humanoids dying or being killed. While it may be alluded to, think something along the lines of when a dragon destroys a town, you can assume that there were probably young people there. It will not be described by the DM.)
