About the adventure

Fanewick was once a land of endless spring, lush, radiant, and alive. But that was before the Witherwild took root. Now, towering blossoms bloom with teeth, animals warp into leaf-fleshed leviathans, and every sweet scent masks the rot beneath. The fortress-city of Haven survives by exploiting the land and its people, while the forest folk pray to fading gods and fear what the woods have become. Your party begins on both sides of this bitter divide, but you all have one thing in common: the forest remembers you. In this Daggerheart campaign, your choices shape the world. You might save an ally from being corrupted just in time to talk down a rampaging hydra-orchid, or launch a daring sky-ship raid on a corrupted supply line. The world reacts to your choices, and consequences bloom from every decision. We'll weave your character’s story directly into the campaign through Session Zero questions that explore what you’ve already lost to the blight, and what fragile hope you still protect. This is a game of hope versus corruption, of dark eco-fantasy and fading gods, of moral dilemmas, hard choices, and consequences that stick. Expect heartfelt campfire roleplay, fast-moving tactical scenes, and space for creative, player-driven solutions. Whether you want to heal a broken community, protect a dying forest, or sacrifice yourself to something ancient and hungry, there’s room for your story here. We’ll be using the Daggerheart ruleset. No prior experience is required, rules are taught at the table as we play, and new players are welcome. Sessions blend emotional character moments with cinematic combat and surreal story beats. Corruption is tracked mechanically: take Severe damage from a Withered foe and you may sprout bark, lose memories, or begin to hear strange whispers in the night. Will you cleanse the curse, or learn to wield it? Whether you're a veteran storyteller or new to Daggerheart, this game welcomes bold choices, big emotions, and collaborative creativity. If you love dark, character-driven fantasy with a beating heart, and don’t mind your heroes getting a little strange along the way, this is your table. Will you cleanse the Witherwild… or become part of its bloom?

Safety

How Joe (Phoenix) creates a safe table

Session Zero will go over personal rules, guidelines, safety tools and where to find and access them in the discord. I use the rules more like guidelines. I'm not a big stickler for the rules. My goal is for players to just have fun with it.
