About the adventure

Something has fallen from the stars. On the storm-lashed Sword Coast, pirate raids grow bolder, ships vanish without a trace, and nightmares ripple across Faerûn like a spreading oil slick. When a mysterious vessel crashes from the heavens, it tears open the veil between worlds — and something begins to stir in the deep. The ancient war between the Illithid and the Githyanki, long hidden in the shadows of the planes, is about to spill violently into the seas of the Realms. Set in the rich and dangerous waters off the western coast of Faerûn, Call from the Deep is an epic campaign of nautical mystery, planar horror, and heroic risk. Players will start at Level 1 and rise to at least Level 10 as they uncover lost histories, command ships, outwit pirates, and stand against the creeping influence of a mind flayer threat older than the gods. Expect haunted wrecks, sea battles, strange dreams, impossible choices—and the feeling that you are being watched. This game is for players who love immersive stories, character-driven roleplay, and high fantasy with real stakes. Combat is tactical and meaningful, puzzles and exploration matter, and every choice helps shape the world’s fate. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or newer to D&D, what matters most is your willingness to dive in, commit to your character, and see how far you're willing to go to answer the call.

About me

Hey Chaps I'm Yore-Gm, I’m a story-driven GM with four years of experience running epic, character-rich campaigns in both homebrew worlds and published modules. I’ve introduced dozens of players to D&D, including helping bring the game to the Scouts—many of those young players now run their own games, which is one of the things I’m proudest of as a GM. My approach is all about collaboration, creative risk, and escapism. I believe the best roleplay comes from really knowing your character—and I love helping players grow into their stories, whether they’re veterans or just starting out.

Can’t recommend enough if what you are after is a highly creative DM, one who is player focused and wonderfully creative with her campaigns. Spends hours upon hours between sessions on tweaking/adding to the campaign, creating a bespoke, living world that responds to the party’s actions - for good or for ill!

A fantastic GM, who helps her players when stuck. Her stories are amazing and can either be combat based or role play a good mixture of both.

An incredible GM who runs immersive and epic campaigns. There are highs, there are lows, your character will feel like part of the world. There will be an evolving overarching story with time dedicated to each character and how they individually contribute to both it and their own lives. This is DnD played right!

Immersive world building with challenging puzzles and encounters. Builds real suspense and jeopardy when necessary but also a sense of fun and freedom to mess around (at the right times)

Character creation
Creating your character

🧙‍♀️ How to Prepare ✅ Before Session 0: Please create your character on D&D Beyond. We'll be using Point Buy for stats—D&D Beyond explains this clearly, but I’m happy to walk you through it in our Discord if needed! 📜 Character Guidelines: Start at Level 1. All official races and classes are welcome except Aarakocra. Homebrew content is case-by-case—just check with me first. Ideally, the party should be balanced (we’ll talk this through as a group). 🎭 Tip: Bring a character you’re excited to explore—someone with room to grow, change, and be surprised. If you have a backstory idea, amazing! If not, we’ll build it together.

Safety
How Yore-GM creates a safe table

This game is all about shared storytelling, and that means everyone deserves to feel safe, welcome, and respected. To help with that, we use a few simple safety tools which we will go over in session 0: ✨ Lines & Veils We'll go over any Lines (topics we avoid completely) and Veils (things we fade to black or keep off-screen) in Session 0. You’re always welcome to message me privately too. ❌ X Card At any time, if something feels uncomfortable or not okay, just say “X” in chat or aloud. We’ll pause, rewind, or skip it—no questions asked. 🚪 Open Door Policy You can step away from the game at any time for any reason. Your well-being always comes first. ⭐ Stars & Wishes (Optional) At the end of some sessions, we might do a quick check-in: Stars = Things you enjoyed Wishes = Things you’d love to see more of This helps shape the game to be even more awesome for everyone.
