Into the Mists - Dread Metrol - Eberron meets Ravenloft
Metrol didn’t die in the Mourning—it vanished. Trapped in a dark domain, it’s under siege by undead horrors. Will you fight, flee… or fall?
About the adventure
Welcome to Dread Metrol: Into the Mists, where Eberron’s magic-fueled war collides with Ravenloft’s creeping terror. You thought Cyre was destroyed in the Mourning? Think again. The capital city, Metrol, still exists—just not in any reality you know. It's been pulled into a Domain of Dread, a nightmarish echo of its former self, where every dusk brings another undead siege… and survival is never guaranteed. You’ll be entering a city trapped in stasis, locked in a four-year war of attrition against the endless legions of the dead. The streets are crumbling, trust is scarce, and the once-proud Queen Dannel now rules as a desperate, iron-willed tyrant. House Cannith has turned corpsesuu into machines. House Vadalis enforces martial law with mutated beasts. Resistance fighters hide in the shadows, praying for allies—or vengeance. Your character can start in Dread Metrol two ways:, you might be a citizen of Metrol having spent the last four years staying alive in this under nightly siege from armies of undead drafted in someway to the defense of the city, or you might’ve been dragged into the Mists from some corner of Eberron or from some plane beyond—an outsider in a city that doesn’t trust you. The party will be drawn together into a brutal, level 1–4 campaign of guerrilla warfare, unraveling twisted plots, and high-stakes choices. After the initial 1-4 adventure published in the book the party must continue and either find allies to take down Queen Daniel or find some way to escape the city. Metrol is a living hellscape, but every step you take could change its future—or trigger its doom. Dread Metrol is perfect for players who crave intense choices, gritty storytelling, and the thrill of hope in a hopeless world. It’s body horror meets magi-punk, in a realm where nothing is safe—but everything matters. Will you save a city that may not deserve it? Will you escape the Mists with your soul intact? In Metrol, you’re already dead to the world. The question is: What are you going to do about it?

About me
Hey everyone my name is Beri and I love roleplaying games. Its such a fun way to play a game and tell a story. I like to take published adventures and expand on portions events and NPCs to either tie in characters back stories or make the adventure more engaging. I host games using Foundry VTT, Its simple for the user but requires a computer (min 8gb ram) but it runs in a browser window. The great part about Foundry is its simple to use from the players side, and i have things set up to be automated enough to keep the game moving at a fun pace. Also things look nice, I have some spell animations set up and have a supply of maps with walls a lighting set up and play music/ambient noise over voice chat to help set the mood. I use discord as my primary means of communication for DND so hit me up there if you have any questions or concerns

How Beri creates a safe table
Dread Metrol is a horror-themed campaign that includes dark and intense subject matter. Themes may include the horrors or war, body horror, psychological manipulation, undead violence, wartime trauma, oppression, and moral ambiguity. While the focus is on storytelling and player agency, some scenes may be unsettling by design. Your comfort and well-being come first—always. If at any time something in the game makes you uncomfortable, you are absolutely encouraged to message me privately or speak up; I will pause, adjust, fade to black, or change direction as needed. You are never required to explain why, but happy to talk with you and debrief so we can make sure everyone good spot. We’re here to create a compelling story together, and that means making sure everyone at the table feels safe and respected! Please look at the content warning list- again this is a horror setting that is set in a war torn land and deal with the grey and dark sides of war and a city under siege
