About the adventure
Welcome to the Wilds Beyond Reason — Where Mischief Reigns and Magic Has a Mind of Its Own Strange things are happening near the quiet town of Aeredale. Cows are sprouting wings, children wake speaking in riddles, and the forest itself seems... alive. Rumors swirl of vanishing villagers, fey creatures dancing in the moonlight, and a growing tear between the material world and the mysterious Fey Realm. Something ancient has stirred — and it’s looking back at us. Into the Fey is a 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons adventure filled with whimsy, danger, and wonder. This game is perfect for both brand new players and seasoned adventurers looking to explore a world where not everything is as it seems. Whether you’re here for epic storytelling, tactical combat, or roleplaying a character who talks to squirrels, there’s a place at the table for you. This campaign runs from levels 1 to 5 and is rooted in classic fantasy themes with a twist of fey unpredictability. Expect vibrant NPCs, tricky choices, hidden secrets, and a land where logic bends and laughter can be lethal. I like to play with a balance of exploration, character-driven storytelling, and accessible mechanics — meaning you don’t need to know anything going in. I’ll guide you through the rules, help you build your character, and make sure you feel confident rolling dice and shaping your own story. So if you've ever wanted to step through a portal, bargain with a mischievous sprite, or stand against a hag with a heart of thorns — your adventure begins here.

About me
New DM. Big imagination. Your story matters. Hi! I’m Spencer, a newer Dungeon Master who’s deeply passionate about storytelling, worldbuilding, and giving players a space to explore their characters, choices, and consequences. While I’m still early in my DM journey, I’ve already run multiple one-shots with a variety of players—and I’m now stepping into running longer-form campaigns with rich character arcs and evolving storylines. I focus on roleplay, emotional stakes, and world immersion. My games lean into character-driven stories, moral choices, and player creativity, while still keeping the rules in mind. I’m not here to show off—I’m here to help you tell a meaningful story and have fun doing it. What to Expect: A welcoming, flexible DM who listens and adapts Safe, inclusive games with open communication Story-focused sessions with opportunities for combat, exploration, and character development A homebrew world with unique factions, secrets, and mythologies (unless you would like to do a module set in a certain setting). I currently run games over DND Beyond maps, but willing to try a new platform, using Discord for communcation, and I’m always happy to do a Session Zero to create a shared vision and comfort for the group. Whether you’re new to D&D or a veteran looking for a thoughtful table, I’d love to run something for you. Let’s roll some dice and build something unforgettable.

Creating your character
Everyone will be using point buy to create their character. I would everyone to use the 2014 rules because that is what I am used to, but open to trying the 2024 rules if that is what you would like to use (we can ensure with the whole group during session 0 so everyone is using the same rules). We will be doing character creation during session 0 that way everyone can colaborate and hopefully be able to make rich characters that connect with each other. This way those who want to roll for their character can do so, otherwise you can use point buy, or standard array. FAQ: Starting level is? ~Level 1 to quickly get to higher levels where more fun can happen Where should I make my character? ~In DND Beyond so all can see the sheet Should I make my character ahead of time? ~I would perfer to make them all at the same time in session 0 so you folks can share ideas and connect your back stories if desired. Do you tie in character backstories? ~I would love to and have you collaborate with me on how this might look or the specific details Any Content off limits? ~Anything is on the table except homebrew that has not been specifically checked off by me. How do I decide my stats? ~Any method, but if rolling for stats that must be done with me to ensure no numbers are fudged (I do not do rerolls). Essentially everything will be done during session 0, you will need to just join discord. If you have other questions just message me! {:^)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Hello thank you for joining! Looking forward to this adventure with you! Make sure to join the discord and the campaign in dnd beyond. Everything else will be covered during session 0!
What Loaver brings to the table
We will be using DND Beyond for almost everything. We will use discord for communication. I have also bought a lot of dnd content and can share that with folks. I also love player creativity so if you want to try something I will try my best (within the rules) to see it out! I do have access to some well made maps and have been practicing making my own maps. If you know the DM Lair at all I have also bought a bunch of content from there and may use some of their sources in out campaign to help ensure high quality content for everyone! I am also going to look into making custom tokens for the custom enemies I have planned.

How Loaver creates a safe table
We will establish the premise of the campaign and some boundries for going forward. After this is done then we will make connections for our characters and have them all set to go. Depending on when this is complete we may even start the campaign. After each session I will make sure there is time to share any adjustments or critiques of how we can make the game more enjoyable. I am also always open to personal messages of how I can change the game to better suit everyone. I want everyone to have a good time!
