About the adventure

You wake aboard the Ghostlight Express, bound for Druskenvald—and the darkness of death beyond. Perhaps you’re a soul finally ready to rest. Perhaps you died too soon, and want your fate undone. Perhaps you’re just visiting a nearly dearly departed friend enjoying the Second Chance Druskenvald is said to provide. Perhaps you’re looking for that Second Chance for yourself. Whatever your reason for boarding, one thing is certain: Something is about to go horribly wrong. Your train will soon derail into Wickermoor Hollow—a cursed valley where the days are short, the moon is strange, and the woods whisper secrets not meant for the sane or living. Something dark and ancient threatens the twilight sanctuary Druskenvald provides. Will you save it—or become a note in the symphony of darkness now spreading across the land? -- 💰 Free to Try 💰 Players enjoy Session Zero free to see if they like the world, my GM style, and their fellow cast!

Game style

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

West Marches

West Marches games are typically ran as “drop-in / drop-out” campaigns, where a pool of players hop into sessions as they are available or as sessions align with their schedules. These games focus on a player-led story and exploration, with each session acting as a self contained adventure, allowing for players to experience a variety of stories within an overarching campaign.

How will character creation work

I'll be there every step of the way for newer folks and seasoned players alike. Rules below! Characters start at 2nd level. Use Point Buy to determine stats. All WOTC races, classes, backgrounds, feats, etc can be chosen (and rethemed if you wish). In addition, I allow many third-party classes and subclasses from MCDM, Darrington, Ghostfire, etc. Ask me before going this route so I can help you out!
