About me
Hey, I'm Jay long time GM of a ton of systems here after years of my friends telling me to try paid GMing! D&D 5e Experience – Lost Mines of Phandelver (who hasn’t at this point?), Call From The Deep, Wild Beyond the Witchlight, four fully homebrewed campaigns, and countless shorter adventures and one-shots. Pathfinder 2e Experience - Full 1-20 conversion of the first edition Adventure Path ‘Strange Aeons’, Season of Ghosts, and about twenty shorter adventures and one-shots. Other systems – I have run full campaigns in Mutants and Masterminds 3e, Supers Revised Edition, Starfinder 1e, and Prowlers and Paragons Ultimate Edition. I’ve run a ton of one-shots and short adventures for all of the previously mentioned systems and also Delta Green, Avatar Legends, Kids of Bikes, Sentinels Comics RPG, ICONS, Marvel Heroic, Champion, and probably a bunch more I can’t remember off the top of the dome.

Jay is a fantastic GM and storyteller. Yeah, he moves the major story along well, but it’s really in the little evocative details; the way he describes an enemy trying to clutch the hero before he collapses from his injuries…. these details add a tremendous amount of verisimilitude to his game, and it’s really easy to get lost in the story. And yet. Jay is also really funny, so when the players are ready to go “off script” with a meta-joke or get into the weeds of fantasy body humor, he’s right there with us, and in just a few sessions with no video and playing with all strangers he’s gotten a few really big belly laughs out of the whole group which is no small feat. I’m new to 2e so I can’t be 100% on his systems mastery, but he seems super strong there as well and at the very least he’s been patient and helpful for me as I learn the fundamentals. Really 11/10; you won’t regret going with Jay.
Every character this GM made felt like they had their own life and were not some random villager that existed to hand out quests and be forgotten. I have played in multiple campaigns run by this GM, and they each had a distinct feel (from shorter humorous stories to longer serious campaigns). Honestly, I had a blast playing.
I have been playing games with Jay for over 10 years, he has taken me from complete novice to a regular player I have played one shots, month long and 1 yr+ campaigns, from DnD, Pathfinder, Delta Green, Mutants and Masterminds and many more. He weaves stories together l, knows the rules but will vend them if the result is gonna look cool or feed into the characters style or story If your looking for a fun, experienced Gm who is going to take you through a world of fighting and adventuring Jays ya man
I have been playing with Jay for over four years now and he is, hands down, one of the best GMs (if not the best) I've played with. We have played a lot of different systems together and he always delivers great games. He puts in the effort to learn the systems and the settings and he runs games where the players truly feel like they have control over the story and like their choices matter.

What Jay brings to the table
Quickfire things to get out of the way - Rules - RAW, but with room for Rule of Cool (balance in all things.) Sounds - Music and ambient tracks that are chose to evoke the mood of the scene or combat. (not mindless EPIC COMBAT MIX! on loop) Adventure - Stick to the adventure as written, but adjust things to the group and their actions. The long bit - I strongly believe a variety in combat, social interaction and exploration encounters is essential to keeping a game engaging and fresh. I like combat to be challenging while also being interesting mechanically and narratively. There should be epic struggles and moments of empowerment in equal measure. I strive to make sure my NPCs have their own motivations, morality, and beliefs - that should be reflected by their actions and interactions with the party. I'm no voice actor but I do my best to provide a unique voice to my NPCs, while trying to stay respectful of cultures I draw inspiration from. I feel exploration should have risk, leaving the safety of a settlement should feel a little dangerous, but it shouldn't be Pokemon long-grass with arbitrary encounters every other step. In my games, I use scene images during exploration and concise but rich descriptive narration to really paint a picture in not just my players minds, but my own. Roleplaying a scene is a lot easier, and richer, when you can visualize it strongly. So, immerse yourself in an impossible world, bring your imagination to life, and embrace the joy, sorrow, hilarity and intensity these TTRPGs create!

How Jay creates a safe table
If you have particular phobias of triggers, I'll make note of them and adjust the narrative if necessary. Lines can be established for anything the party is uncomfortable with. If a scene is upsetting to any player, they can whisper me directly on Foundry/Discord, or use the priority ping to interrupt the scene.
